Useful video as people don’t maintain appliances then wonder why they don’t work

Much appreciated! Mentioned you when I ordered my washer & dryer from AO actually lol! £713 later.. 😩 Still, has to be done. Decided on the Haier HW80-B1439N_WH (8kg), & the Indesit I2D81WUK_WH Condenser Tumble Dryer. Many thanks for all of your help & guidance through your videos & comments!

Thanks for the info 😊 I bought a second hand white knight and the heat isnt great, barely warm, i'll start with these and then replace the element.

Is it possible to open the condenser? I find a lot of hair that’s long and won’t get out with a shower hose

Unfortunately these are normally sealed units and can't be opened

Annoyingly the only thing you can really do is to ease in in gently and make sure it lines up properly.

Iv cleaned out the condenser immaculately and my hot point is still giving the clothes steaming hot and wet, it is not drying engineer came out and ordered new condenser, replaced condenser and issue is still the same even though the sensors are all working and the fans are fully working any ideas?

If the sensors are clean and the engineer and changed the condenser unit and checked the filters then there isn't really anything else you can do. I would contact Hotpoint again and say it is still faulty and hopefully get them back out to sort the problem out.

I have hotpoint condenser dryer. It’s showing the Red fault button/buzzer. It’s just less than 2 years old. Have emptied both filters and emptied the water tank. Buzzer still there. I have switched off and on. Any help appreciated.

My thumble dryer is always black out when I turn it on, what cause this. If you can help?! Much appreciated

Question from someone who knows nothing about electronics except water and electric doesn’t mix! You say pop big filter in shower then pop back in… do I need to leave the inside to dry totally first or can no just dry the bits I can reach then good to go? Thanks x

If its the condenser unit then you should be ok to put that in if its still damp, but if its the main filter inside the dryer then that will have to be left to dry thoroughly before putting it back into the machine.

@@lords-electrical thanks, it’s the big metal box filter that pulls out at the bottom not the mesh, showered it and left to drain/dry in bath overnight x

What if the drum inside is not turning, there is heat but drum inside is not working, clothes is steady in a one place,

Sounds like the belt has broken. Hopefully this should be a fairly simple fix for you without having to replace the whole dryer
