We all have to accept that we watch haunting tube just because of the amazing narration

Movie explanation is nice. The only problem with a non kerela audience like me is remembering and understanding the names. Chattan, Kattan, Pappan , Chappan and so on and so forth. All names end with “an” 😮

I think Chathan is supposed to portray good authority because and he helps and he is not confined as gari .gari was supposed to portray evil authority because he demands sacrifice . But it can also show effects of how environment affects ones action. As chathan lived between good people and in nature he had child friends while gari yk was alone in a hole and ate children

Goynar Baksho is very funny and at the same time it carefully portrays the social issues. The old woman loved jewelleries but she couldn't wear them to her satisfaction because her husband died a few years after her marriage.

DORORO inspired movie. I think this story is inspired from japnese anime dororo where the main character got a curse & his limbs, arms, skin, eyes, ears, face, mouth, nose everything got stolen in a contract by demons to save a village for his sacrifice. One of the best action packed revenge story anime.

Chattan's sins must be less severe as he is not confined like the lanlord's god. He comes out whenever he can especially when his people are in danger. For that he doesn't need blood or other sacrifices. He perhaps loves children (more likely the innocent humans). On the other hand Gaari Devan demands tributes and devotion. He protects the landlord's family but the life of villagers was miserable. He doesn't care about the injustice the villagers have to face.
