Hilarious clip, laughed my finnish ass off :-D Finnish media is whining about this for two reasons only: a) lefties are experiencing a cultural shock because Finland has as much real, independent, un(self)cencored political satire as in North Korea. b) they are just jealous that five minute Estonian sketch contains better humour and special effects than entire finnish tv and film industry combined produced during 2011. It is a really well done sketch with-or-without the effects, not some public service announcement. Its called humor :) Tujurikkuja ftw

We share a common history. We've stood beside each other through difficult times and we came out victoriously as a family. Hehee... Good video! I thought they put her against Niinistö but it was Estonian's prime minister. I was not sure about what was backround for this video but maybe it was that Halonen has said that Estonian people should forget what Russian people did and live in peace. Also in Finland have said that Halonen not dare say anything against Russia. Halonen can say things to developing countries that they should be democratic etc. but when Russia is doing something bad she can say nothing.

Very funny and crazy video, good job estonians! I just wonder why the giant-ansip decided crash some estonians with his hand! Greetings from here up north - Finland!

The basic idea is from Estonian epic Kalevipoeg where Kalevipoeg, our national hero who was big but was stupid and lazy, got some really good advice from Soome sepp (Finnish smith) but in the end - Kalevipoeg in a moment of rage still cut the smith's head off ALTHOUGH he could have got some more good advice from him.

@SuperMsifiableful First of all, the statue is real and it's the War of Independence Victory Column. The thing is, it's actually modelled after the Cross of Liberty which were awarded from 1919-1925, so quite long before Nazi Germany.

@Mikkohh It's something like a metaphore i think. Estonia survived the economical crisis by making big cuts to the state budget. And "ordinary" people suffered because of that, loss of jobs etc. That's what it symbolises i think.

@Puutuma The whole sketch was purely a sarcasm hitting Ansip and the whole Estonian government. "Rise like the Estonian economy" was just the introduction to the scene. The idea was about squish the people as a behalf of rising economy.

@SiriuslyBlack007 The houses representing the "new Tallinn" centre, mostly. Either they are cardboard, or done very well with CGI to look like ones. In either case, I tip my beret for the additional joke there.
