Managed to collect mine yesterday on the rubber strap, the proportions are spot on, the thickness seems to just blend into the overall proportions of the watch. In other words you really don't notice the thickness. It really is a watch which needs to be seen, you simply don't notice it being 'thick' at all. Overall very impressed, great watch.

I am a minority here for sure, but I love Tudor watches particularly for their thickness. It transmits a sense of a true tool watch, which is what I am interested in, regardless of what I am wearing or the occasion. But I believe that your comments at the end of the video are the most important and I wish all agreed with you: we have had enough of waiting list, flippers and paying premium just to be able to own something which is not a limited edition piece. So I am done with Rolex, for instance, and anything else (clubs, restaurants, etc.) where I need to wait and be robbed.

Tried this on the leather/rubber strap and it wears really nice on my 7.10 inch wrist. It certainly has a certain presence height wise, however, it isn't noticeable and the 39mm case negates this well. A really handsome, retro but modern watch. Although it’s by no means thin, It doesn’t have the bulk and isn’t too top heavy, partly down to that new clasp allowing you to get the perfect fit! Adrian you have managed to articulate my view on this watch better than I could. I heard about this watch and and almost dismissed it as being too thick from the spec sheet. My very kind AD invited me to just take a look at the watch on the bracelet, it's not a thin watch but on the wrist it wore very well indeed and the bracelet is superb (I don't mind the faux rivets, I don't even notice them on the wrist). I now have this watch on my wrist, yes it would be nice if it was thinner but we could say the same for almost all watches. This is now my watch and I'm very happy with it. I have to agree that the lume plots without any surround are brilliant The T clasp is arguably one of the best available on a bracelet, no buttons to push or link clicks to engage it's brilliant. I hope Tudor offer these clasp options for other models in the future, alternatively get a Bark and Jack strap that I may be looking for for my other watches..

I don't think smaller watches necessarily need to be thinner than larger ones (as people are alleging by harking on about "proportion"). I think the visual impact of thickness is actually *reduced* by making the watch smaller in diameter. There is less watch and that makes up for the fact that it's a bit thick. That's borne out by all the video I've seen of the BB Pro - it looks great to me. Pleasantly chunky but not oversized in general.

Good points about watch dimensions; on paper they may sound a certain way, but in person they can appear differently. I think several measurements are important in how a watch wears. As many know, that’s the case diameter, lug-to-lug length, and overall thickness. That being said, I think layering with thickness can be important too. That’s not going to be reflected in the dimensions, but is apparent when you see a watch in-person. Here you pointed out how the domed sapphire glass adds to that overall thickness. This can make a watch appear thinner than it actually is. Additionally, the sloped bezel probably helps reduce the apparent thickness as well. Nonetheless, I think the slab side of the case will still probably make this watch appear thicker than I prefer.

Will definitely try it on, waiting for the Panda now, just got the Pelagos. This could be my 2nd/3rd Tudor. The classic 58 is also on the list..getting more and more into the brand I have to say!

Liked and always a gr8 review A, wouldn't expect anything less. BTW do you know details on how they fixed the date wheel, interesting subject as if it's something that can't be a retro or part fix on prev BB GMT's, I assume it's the later.

Nice video. Never understood the appeal of the Explorer II, but know that it is a highly-regarded watch. This Tudor BBP is a fantastic interpretation (or homage) of its Rolex cousin. I like what the folks at Tudor have done.

Hi Adrian, great video! I personally really liked the tudor bb pro and I'll be honest it did not feel that big on the wrist. 😁 I believe it will be a great success and a reall strap beast.

I was able to pick one up on Friday at Zürich airport, straight from the shelf although the lady working there said she just 5min earlier had put it out for display/sale 😊 So I was lucky I guess! It’s on a bracelet and it feels and looks absolutely fantastic, better than I had initially thought. I have the BB58 too and prefer a bit smaller watches (max 40mm), I don’t think the thickness is an issue since it can be perfectly sized up with the new quick adjustment in the clasp. So I would say, go get one!

Hi Bark, I own one on the NATO strap. I also have the GMT Pepsi. This definitely wears better than the Pepsi. And I measured to the top of the bezel and it is around 12mm although I did not use a precise tool. Great watch. Glad I bought it.

Jim, are the bb gmt Pepsi and bb pro’s bracelet and clasp the same? My ad has both but their gmt Pepsi’s currently have nylon or leather, not the bracelet… I forgot to ask while looking. Thanks

Not too thick at all. I have 6.75 inch wrists. Wears smaller than my Seamaster 300m which is slimmer. Love this thing! Perfect go anywhere do any thing adventure watch.

Nice watch, affordable and available. I have an average sized wrist and the watch I'm wearing is 42mm and 15.5mm thick with flat sapphire, titanium on a bracelet and I dont even notice its there 130 grammes and nicely balanced, so I think you're right. Dont be put off by the numbers.

It's a great looking watch that's for sure. I haven't seen one in the flesh but if it is like the other Black Bay models then, for me, the actual thickness isn't a problem - it's the way they wear it. I love the Tudor GMT but I tried one on and it's just so slab sided that I found it clumsy looking. Same for the original Black Bay. If the case was sculpted somehow (like a Yachtmaster for example) I think it would hide the dimensions more elegantly.

So glad you said " Go try it on ! " So often we make pre-conceived judgements that are just not accurate. However, I would have much preferred to have seen it in a 41mm case. Sadly my son's BB 58 blue is lost on my 8inch wrist, so for me the diameter is the issue . Love the 1655 influence , one of the best Rolex's ever designed . That with the yellow Gmt hand , make it the slightly chubby love child of the 1655 and the Ranger! I do really like it though. Adrian, so agree with you on the waiting list political bull! It's why I will never by a Rolex.
