I have a 7 and a quarter inch wrist like you and I rock my 36mm Explorer. People should not shy away from smaller watches. Thats the traditional and classic size! Wear what you wanna wear.
I’m loving the BB36 at first I thought it was a little small but after some time I realised that the 36mm looks great, the proportions on the dial are more pleasing to the eye
There’s something about this configuration that just does it for me. It looks so crisp.
Beautiful piece! The blackbay in silver is definitely the dial color I’ll be looking for!
It’s an incredible piece. Love my black dial BB36. Gets more wrist time than my other watches lately. I’m looking forward to seeing the new S&G case as despite the increased thickness the curves will likely make it feel thinner.
Brilliant review. Thank you! I’ve got one of these coming next week! I also just bought the Black Bay S&G 36 with the smile dial too. Loving the brushed gold. I think you’re right….the smiles will go…let’s get them while we can!
The world was waiting for your review.
Fits you perfectly! It wears more like a 38mm I took a picture of it next to a bunch of 38s and it was hard to tell the difference. And the movement looks awesome I'm glad you opened it up. I would have preferred it to be an ETA but this one runs +2 so I can't complain. PS if anyone owns a BB36 or BB58 and is having issues getting the fit right, Uncle Seiko just released a half link for both watches, I just got it today and it wears perfectly now. Thanks Rob!
Had a look at this in person at the Tudor Boutique and it is great. I want one.
I love that dark steel bracelet, the steel color is fantastic.
I love that watch. It definitely wears a little bigger than the 36mm size. It’s totally different than the same watch with black dial. The BB36 S&G wears similarly.
Agreed...a watch in the 38mm-40mm range, possibly even 36 or 37mm, just suits me better. This Tudor is quite nice.
Movement looks good
I love my BB36 in black and I have been all over the world with it and it has been a great watch.

@@Jeff_G1 awesome thanks for your response, that's my only gripe or shall we say concern when traveling with the bb36 on my wrist :)
This is a classic size for a reason. It is a perfect fit. People dismiss this size and have never tried it!
Awesome dial, I thought they were only blue and black. I was putting some funds together for the BB36 but ended up buying another Tudor, the 36mm 1926 in white dial and rose gold numbers. Love it and cost me $1750 at my local Rolex AD.
Bought the last one at my mayors and I love it. The size is perfect and the silver dial with the lume looks 🔥
Wow the 36 really looks good on your wrist !
Would love to own the black dial version one day!
I really like this one!
Had 36mm blue for a while but it wore small on my 19cm wrist so flipped it. Recently got good deal on pre owned one in 41mm also in blue and feels better to me :) I don’t know why but for some reason I prefer to wear this one to my bb58 black.
Yep, as Rob said I have this exact model and love it! I have 7.5 inch wrist and had to add a link
A great watch. Photos and video don’t do it justice. I’m glad but kinda surprised that is becoming a community favourite. ‘Had mine (black 36 ETA) for almost 4 years and it’s obviously a keeper. 25% off list.
That is my favorite dial among bb36
I got mine a month after reading this great review from Rob , and the watch in person really exceeded all my expectations I have a descent collection that include different types and brands from classic like the moon watch ( also the Moonswtach moon ) ,Rolex GMT (black ) , PAM 233 , Seiko Willard 237J1, G shock virtual Armor B5000TVA and others ,, also a Tudor black bay bronze 2016 / brown And this is by far the real GADA boy in my collection ,, And trust me ,, it’s very difficult to get it off my wrist The silver dial looks incredible, the size in my 6.30 ‘’ wrist ,wears perfect and SW200 movement adjusted / worked by Tudor ( thanks again Rob for the movement video ) is very accurate as any cosc piece The smiling self winding 😊rotor , it’s a go for mark ,, that I’m sure soon will be gone with the new in-house models If you have a chance to buy one , as your daily wearer, buy it The color doesn’t matter

I was in a Rolex/Tudor AD yesterday and no discounts were offered on any Tudors. They are selling quite well. I looked at the 41mm version of this silver dial BB and it is a great looking watch. The pictures don’t really show how nice that silver dial looks. It’s a great watch and feels like quality.
BELLISSIM😍
19mm dark brown alligator with push button deployant buckle would look great. It is nice.

haha I just got my half link today from Uncle Seiko and put it on there, the clasp is so long on this watch and it was kind of sticking out on the bottom of my wrist. I want to see if I can get the AD's watchmaker to put it on the first link on the side of the clasp where the flip lock is, that link just does not articulate well.

I hope Tudor will release all stainless BB39s, but I don't like the slimmer lugs on those. This watch with the new on-the-fly clasp would be perfect.

It's a fantastic watch and wears great, a true GADA. The silver dial is a little hard to read in low light situations. Be careful though, it's an Explorer gateway drug.
I’m a little late to the party here. How was the silver dial in low-light conditions? I’m afraid there isn’t a lot of contrast, or as much as there would be on a black-dial watch. For instance, I’ve noticed that in low-light at dawn & dusk, my SARB035 is really hard to read.
I have this BB36 myself. I have a 7.5" wrist. The piece wears well and seems more dressy than the other versions. I tend to wear it for work with a sport coat. Really grew on me. I call it the poor man's OP.

I consider myself a watch noob since I have only been into this "hobby" for about a year. I love everything about the watch except for the "rotor" and "self-winding" printing on the dial. I don't get that. I just don't think it fits the brand. I don't know what others think. The overall look of the watch is really nice though.

I waiting for in house movement for this model....
Love the watch. I've been looking at one for a couple months. Feel like there is an all steel coming at 39mm with in house movement. Don't know if I should buy a 36mm or wait and see if the 39mm happens.

I own the 39mm Rhodium Rolex OP and this same watch, and they both wear the same! Trust me, you can grab this one as the 41 is way too big and this one wear exactly like a 39mm Rolex OP.
I'll wait for there to be an homage to be made of this dial variant..........
Hard to justify spending $3k for a movement that I have and enjoy in my $400 Steinhart. I’m just not into brand cache I guess. I went with a Citizen HAQ instead as, in the $2k range, it’s hard to beat so long as you’re not trying to impress anyone with what brand of watch you are wearing.
I hate the bracelet. I love the glide lock

The dressKX clearly took its style from Tudor.
I dont know why everyone is calling their new movements "in house". They might be proprietary to tudoe but they aren't made by tudor.
The absence of a paragraph on the dial exalting the specifications of the sample and placing it high on a pedestal e.g. "superlative chronometer certified by the self-important Swiss purveyors of chronometers" seems strange for a watch, nay chronometer, from the House O'Turd. Maybe the House O'Turd does have a smidgen, however minuscule, of honesty. But please don't wager on that improbable conjecture.
Very hard to justify for a SW200 and no date for $3k. Get a Glycine 36 combat sub for $300!
Looks like a modded Seiko.

@@tezzanewton when you don't know that cheap Seiko 5 stole it's look from the Tudor by removing the dive bezel I suppose you might think that but then you also have that horrendous day date complication at 3 o clock ruining any dial symmetry. There is also the crown at 4 o clock and then for giggles the fact that the black bay came out years beforehand. So at best, the Seiko is a pathetic homage.

Some people rather not have date windows, and it’s a modified, highly regulated movement. Not cosc certified but every review I have seen they run within spec. A lot of watch brands use variations of them and price their watches from 1-3k, even up to 5,500 for the iwc mark 18. Considering how well the Tudor is made I think it’s a fair price.
