All other presidents didn't even bother to talk much about reunification of Korea, but President Trump has been making so much effort to seek peaceful ways, so we , the South Koreans, think there is a real prospect of peaceful reunification. His visit & actions may seem meaningless to you, but Democrat presidents NEVER contacted N. Korea & said 'Let's make a deal to officially end the war' & held face to face meetings like President Trump.

When they're signing something terrible or trying to get reelected... They would prod and antagonize North Korea, nothing short of petty games for politicians. To say there's no way that there could ever be a peaceful resolution without taking their arms would be the same as omitting our own arm in the States and forgetting that these arms seem to be the only great equalizer of countries. Everyone's at a stalemate when it comes to this topic. I think his meeting like this will open up North Korea and help all of your people. I also have a suspicion that China may be trying to strongarm North Korea for their own benefit on the island. Before they ever met the first time, China abruptly called Kim to meet them. I think he's weighing the odds and knows the enemy of his enemy is his friend. In this scenario, Trump may be the only honest chance to sort it out... without a fear mongering politician for Korea as a whole to be left alone if this is the case. Any ways, it's a huge step! 👍🏼👍🏼

Well, normalization would be the best they would really be able to achieve , contrary to beliefs the wealthier South doesn't want the poor North, at best what they would be willing to offer would be semi open borders and secured access to their markets especially for cheap labor from the North, some limited access to their tech and perhaps lifting of the US imposed sanctions or bans or again at least some of them to allow for some limited modernisation , which would be something that would please Kim as he also, along with the North Korean elites aren't interested in a true unification, but rather in a process he can control, and that is possibly why he wants to have some level of control over the South politics, which I think is the true reason why there's so much North Korean defectors somehow getting to South, not saying that there aren't any true ones, but a heavy load of them might be North Korean agents or field people that are to infiltrate the Southern Korean society to create an infrastructure within South Korea, for the event of North Korea opening its borders and allowing their own citizens to travel to South, for the purposes of monitoring their movement, though it's most likely not aimed at South Koreans themselves but just their own citizens, and gaining Intel about people they could later taxate.

Lucky you Tucker .. Incredible! I stayed up just Incase President Trumps invitation was accepted by Chairman Kim Jung U. It was worth it! I smiled for hours and still smile when I think about it ... WOW! However, I don’t think I can agree with some of your over the top opinion considering where you were. Your jabs I found rude, while the president was polite and respectful of his company and the culture. The remarks about Chairman Kim’s health didn’t agree with me. Rocket-man turned a corner ... that’s what I witnessed and the Commander welcomed his peace. If Kim’s last steps on earth was the handshake so be it, but Winded? Bewildered? Out of his element? Not even one of those. I saw a dictator who was at peace with his decision to meet the President of the United States because of a Twitter post (think about that) just 18 months ago Kim swore to attack America. On this day he stood face to face with Our President in his own backyard shaking hands at the DMZ. HOLY CRAP! Incredible! No sir, Kim wasn’t winded or bewildered, he was in aww just like the rest of us AND the President looked just as aww struck as I felt. IMO 🇺🇸🙏🏻🇰🇵. I would like to see the people of North Korea free, and this event truly gives me great hope. Trump 🇺🇸 2020

How is it an achievement to for the president to agree to do something a communist dictatorship has been trying to get an American president to do for decades? I‘m glad Trump is no longer having twitter beef with kim and provoking him, but we still should understand that north korea‘s foreign policy goals are being met, and America‘s aren‘t. I think it‘s a major problem that a lot of Trump supporters should be aware of.

I would love more footage of NK secret service and the before/after of the encounter!
