Great and amazing video! You are an angel! I hope you don't get mad at me, I have a small advice. I recomend desinfection of the hands somewhere on the side away from the Sonde (tube), so the kitten don't ingest droplets of alcohol, you keep perfect steryle condition. I'm sorry if I offended you, I have a long time work in surgery station where it had to be everything perfect. Anyway, it's a very informative video! You are saving many kitties!

Thank you for this video great correct presentation on tube feeding I am actually a higher end silver and golden Persian cat purebred cattery breeder also state licensed, and I thought this video you did an excellent presentation of how to correctly and efficiently and safely tube feed a baby it is a acquired skill takes practice but yes mam if done correctly can save many lives indeed ❤️ thank you for your video presentation I think is on point done very well ❤️

I have a 4 day old kitten that won't feed, so I went to the only vet in my town that can do this, and asked her to do this procedure, and also show me, and maybe sell me the tubes. She categorically denied to sell me any equipment, it's as if I was asking her to show me how to do a heart transplant operation. She also said it's a "waste of time" and "pointless". She could as well give me a tiny shovel, which is what is gonna happen in a few days, or hours. She did gave the kitten antibiotics, and asked me to come back again the next day for another round. I don't know if it's genuine greed for money, or just plain stupid ignorance on her part, but this procedure looks fairly simple to me. Certainly easier than trying to feed it with a small syringe 1 drop at a time, and the poor thing still drowning in milk most of the times. I just wanna give this little guy a chance to survive, and I'm being denied, this is very simple to do, and still.. I don't even know where to find those tubes, so I can at least try it myself. God I am mad as hell!

Bird stores sell them or go online on Amazon. I tried the same thing and asked the vet to sell them to me even if they were a bit pricey and they denied me so I went to a different vet that actually gave one to me for free after I paid $65 for an exam. Unfortunately the poor little kitten died and I feel if I wad given the tube sooner when I asked for it, maybe she would’ve survived 😢

@@JoTheVeteran it sucks that even though we study and know what we can do to help our pets, the vets deny us the equipment because we aren’t vets. It’s understandable if we asked for medication that can be dangerous if we don’t know the dosage, but a feeding tube??? Anyone can use it as long as you practice just as much as practicing to bottle feed properly. It’s not illegal.

@@evalove1994 I can understand their premise in some extent. You can go through the lung by accident, and drown the poor thing, or feed it so much, it causes it to vomit. But on the other hand, the vets are not it willing to do the procedure, I asked. And the kitten would die anyway, I actually watched waste away from hunger, so what's the harm in even trying?

I need a sure fire way to know its not in the lungs when they are quiet!!!

One vet said giving a small amount of water (purified).. If it goes in the trachea, the kitten will cough up the water.. Formula can be fatal..

But it can be necessary to save a life which is what this video is done ❤️ I have saved lives myself tube feeding but it is a skill indeed has has and HAS to be done super slowly and exactly correct proper way or yes could be fatal if ends up in the lungs❤️ however if it’s done correctly like persay is an X-Large or pretty large litter and one kitten gets wormed out if one knows how to tube feed properly and precisely as this video does show, especially on a one or two day so forth old newborn brand new baby that is getting wormed out maybe smallest or maybe the others more aggressive and take over pushing the last baby of a large litter from feeding, then they get weakened and that’s dangerous territory actually if you know how to properly tube feed a newborn kitten or a young kitten you can save their life, so I wouldn’t say it’s fatal if of course your know exactly how to to do it correctly has to be done precisely I’ve saved plenty of kittens newborns Of larger litters where that baby was just getting pushed out wormed out by ones gaining quicker more aggressive siblings So once they become weakened one doesn’t have much time to act !! So one MUST know how to tube feed and as so Must be done precise exact and correctly, if it’s not that’s only when it would become fatal if not past the last rib point or not warm enough or sanitized properly it done to quickly, YES then if not done correctly it can be fatal especially if milk ends up in the lungs It is an acquired practice skill that does save many lives if done correctly as this lady is presenting here in this video ❤️

Hello! 😊 I use just a regular heating pad(no shut off switch) under the pad or blanket set on medium.. Before I even start I make sure they are nice and warm. 🥰

Having trouble finding the catheter...could you please supply more info in a desperate situation please

Entirely pets or Revival can even overnight for a fee feeding tubes and syringes and miracle nipples I’m actually a Persian cattery breeder. So is awesome can things even overnighted when need be they have everything needed for puppy and kitty animal and baby animal care Hope this helps can google them ❤️

Ok but this is an advice to Stop talking and feed the cat already. It's better cause they're already hungry
