Interesting. Thanks for this vid. I'm getting a sealed steel trough like this but need to somehow insulate it to stop the condensation forming on the outside and running down the outside, as it will be housed inside the house and so I need to avoid damaging the floor with dripping condensation.

How long did things stay cold after you insulated it? Did it help a lot? Just bought a 100 gal tub like yours. Thanks. I am ready for my first ice bath Sunday with Wim Hof's live stream on the 17th.

I’m actually trying to accomplish the opposite by keeping the cold out. Using a stock tank as a temporary living space for goldfish over winter. This insulation should help somewhat with that, no?

Love the video & love the tub. I am in North Texas - finishing up week 5 of Wim's online course. We don't have cold water in Texas. I keep ice/water in cooler then hook up my camping shower pump. The 10 minute showers have been a process - but feels great after wards!

Hi! I'm originally from Austin Texas, so I feel your pain. The summer months can be brutal for a practice like this. That's why I'm doing these videos, to help give people possible ideas on things they can do. Do you mind telling me what camping shower pump you are using? Thanks so much for the props and congrats on making it through week 5! Keep going!

Austin has a lot of cool things.. perhaps I should say fun things to do (because in this context cool may be misleading :). I'd be glad to email you or link the video I made. P.S. I love the video and will be watching for cheap dip tank ideas.

Breia is it possible to talk with the man who insulated this for advice? I followed directions. Insulation was wet months later, so I redid the whole messy replacement, spraying on wet seal. It wasn’t staying cold this time, so I cut reflector and insulation to inspect, and insulation is soaked again. Doesn’t make sense. Otherwise this had been great for my California yard.

You can use frozen water bottles instead of ice to save a little money when you fill it. The frozen water bottles are reusable.
