• TU vs FH in Germany
Пікірлер: 165
The amount difference of earning of FH and Uni students is very negligible. Safe to say that as long as you are skilled and the company wants to hire you, you'll get the same amount whether you are an FH or Uni graduate :)

I don't know the system in Germany. But people who go to a FH in the Netherlands are usually slightly cheaper. And have more practical experience, so there tend to be more companies willing to hire you. Not saying that the TU is bad, but if you go to the TU, you very likely will end up at a multinational here where you do more complex stuff. So, both have their advantages. But it mostly boils down to who you as a person are.
This channel is so relevent and very helpful. I am keeping my dream of higher studies alive in this quarantine situation

Your new videos about life of students in Germany are great. Keep helping.
I am going to finish my Masters in Embedded System from a Hochschule with in 2 months. In Germany, it doesnot matter whether you study in Hochschule or University or Technical University for getting job. The only things that matter most is which skillset do you have and how they match with the Industry. For example embedded system is a hot cake in Germany now so from my department i have seen almost 100 percentage of people are getting job after completing the Masters. In most cases within 6 to 8 months. on the other side, people getting top class degree from TU are unemployed and sometimes go back to their country because that course does not match with the job market ,for example power system Engineering. Again , German skills, technical knowledge, programing skill, internship, thesis topics many things are involved for getting job. Because recruiters hire individuals skill, neither their grade nor their University degree. But for PHD or Accademic research work University and Technical University always win.

Thanks Bharat Bhaiya.
@bharat with all due respect, I disagree with many points mentioned in this video. Firstly about me, I am a Master Mechatronics student at FH Aachen and I am currently doing my internship in autonomous driving at Mercedes Benz. The points I would disagree with are as follows: 1. Regarding electives: This could vary from university to university but being from an FH, I always have broad choices when it comes to electives. Also its the same for students who are in a different course. We have different sets of electives for winter and summer semesters. 2. Practical experience: I would say its a well known fact that the number of lab sessions that you have in FH are much more as compared to those in TH or TU. So I would argue that you get more hands on learning in a FH. Also for technical subjects in FH you almost every time have to make a project (live project) with report for most subjects. 3. Job opportunities: I dont think companies do make a lot of difference on where you graduated from but rather what did you do during your studies. I know many from my course who have got internships and also jobs in Bosch, Continental, Audi and Daimler.

It depends on what company is hiring for, if company is looking for a research engineer, they are of course going to prefer a University Graduate. University of applied sciences are great for so many reasons, but old school Universities are better in many ways. You can do a PhD or work as a research associate after a degree from a University but it’s lot harder to do that with a degree from UAS. And it’s nearly impossible for one to get his/her 90 credit masters recognised in India.

I agree with you, I am from FH Südwestfalen and our course has a lot of practical assignments and around 4-5 presentations per semester. I have friends from some universities (even TU) they just have final exams and the semester is done. Studying at FH is a lot harder than universities (and some TUs). Also, it completely depends on the course.
Thank youu so much for the video, it’s really helpful! I have an important question. Can I do my PhD in the universities, if I graduate from a Hochschule Master Degree in the field of architecture? ( my Bachelor is at technical university in non EU country.)
Hello, I have a question. Is it OK to do PhD in Computer Science in university of Freiburg or University of Gottinggen these type of universities which are not Technical universities? Will the degree be evaluated in market as much as PhD from a Technical University?
I didn't found the download link of Free E-Book. Would love to have one
Is it better for a MSc computer science student to choose a TU ( and work a part time job) Or select a Fachhochschule dual system ? Will Fachhochschule increase chances of jobs or University after graduating? Anyone who is currently studying or have , please guide me . Thankyou!

Make a dedicated video about the Opportunities of BBA graduates
I‘m technical leading expert in a company with approx. 4000 employees and involved in many interviews. The least I'm interested in is the degree and the grades. During the interview process I get an impression of what people can and cannot do. My experience: 1. for the absolute top 1%, it doesn't matter where they studied or if they studied at all. Their knowledge and skills do not come from the university. 2. there are a handful of extremely good universities of applied sciences in Germany whose graduates are at university level. 3. unfortunately, there are a lot of trash universities of applied sciences and I've had applicants from them who made me wonder whether they'd learned anything at all. But all in all, I would say that after 5 years of professional experience at the latest, the degree doesn't matter at all (PHD included).

@baishampayanmishra6402 it is confirmed that a bachelors from an applied University is actual equivalent to a one from a technical one and an applied university is actually better if you're applying for a program that requires more practical skills than theoretical ones like Computer Science, software engineering, cybersecurity etc. They will make you more job ready after graduation so if you're getting a better option in the applied University then go for it man.

@@sanketjagdale6397 Hello Sir, Im planning to start aerospace engineering studies in Germany. Can I ask you mail to ask some questions about the programme and afterwards??
I have studied at a Technical "Hochschule" of applied science and we have a lot more lectures than university students since the period begins two weeks earlier... if you find good friends in a small class it is nice but I didn't find any except one and he hangs out with a guy that I can't stand because he is always so judgy towards everything with no tolerance to new things. So it can be nice to study at th if you like a lot of given tasks and less choices as well as small groups, depends on the subject and university ofc. For example in industrial engineering we have also 80 students each year but in renewable energies we are around 25.
