LOL no way, I would never expect to see TTNG on here! So cool. This album was huge for me as a teen and really got me stoked on the whole math-rock genre; influenced me as a guitar player for sure. I still remember learning to play the song Crocodile from this album and was so proud. It's been years since I've listened to them. Thank you for reacting, and thank you to the one who recommended them!

Ohhh TTNG are such an amazing band! It used to be "This town needs guns" but they decided to abbreviate it and forget about the entire name since they come from Oxford town (I am 80% sure about where they come from haha) and they felt they don't really need guns. so now they are just TTNG :) Each album is similar yet so unique, they are simply an amazing band!!

This whole album is beautiful, highly recommend it. They also put out a special acoustic version for its 10 year anniversary, and basically redid every song from scratch as an acoustic arrangement. I almost prefer that version to the original.

📣 To everybody who says they sound like incubus, check out "Forever and Always" from their First Demo EP. I thought it was some deep cut incubus cover. Also "Adventure, Stamina & Anger" and "Havoc in the Forum" are insanity. "2 Birds, 1 Stone and an Empty Stomach" is audible butter These dudes seriously jam.

So I just caught one of your slipknot videos from 2 yrs ago. Since you’re a composer you REALLY need to check out Unlucky Morpheus!! A Japanese metal band. The best way I can describe their sound is classical music in the form of heavy metal. They have a KILLER violinist too! The song I recommend is Cadaver/Redavac. It’s literally Cadaver then after they “rewind” and play the exact same composition note for note but completely backwards. They’ll blow your mind. I promise

I'd given up asking, but maybe now that you've found yourself to TTNG, maybe NOW you'll finally check out Toe ("all I understand is that I don't understand" or "c") and Elephant Gym ("finger" or "midway")?!! Oh gods I hope so 😭😭😭 PLEEEEEAAAAAAASE

Saw these guys on the "Super CHON Bros 2" tour - CHON, TTNG, Tricot and Polyphia! I was quite familiar with CHON - and got just what I expected from them, but not as familiar with the others: TTNG was excellent musically (it was shortly after this album was released), but kind of shoegaze-like in stage presence - still, I'd see them again if I could. Tricot blew me away with high energy stage presence, complex music played with excellence, and interesting vocals even though they were entirely in Japanese: the band had learned just enough English to introduce themselves - both they and TTNG made a fan out of me! Polyphia could have been *so* much better - I'm not sure why, but they had some guy doing vocals, and he was a complete train wreck - almost certain he was nearly dead of alcohol poisoning, abusive to the audience, and couldn't sing worth spit (probably because of the alcohol.) It took me a couple of years before I listened to Polyphia again, and was much more impressed! Definitely check out CHON and Tricot - "Inai" is a good start for you from Tricot, while "Bubble Dream" is a good starter for CHON 🙂

Maps and atlases- tree swallows houses is another phenomenal math core album. Very different from ttng but still great and crazy technical. Plus the lead singer is also doing taps and shredding crazy guitar patterns while he sings. That album is special

hey man, i'm a huge fan of your channel, and i have a suggestion: please react to the song "Carousel" by Vylet Pony. it's the titular song of an amazing album by her, and it's perfect in every way i can tell. everything works together better than i've ever heard before.
