That intro sound for some reasons reminds me of those old cowboy movies

It is true that, because of the rotary cutter, is better for people with sensitive skin compared to the braun? Thanks

I've never used the Braun so I'm not sure. I haven't gotten any razor burn from it but I don't think I have overly sensitive skin.

Nice video, can you also compare it with the s9000 model s9982/50? There s quite a price difference btw them, I think it would be interesting to see how they compare to each other. Thanks!!!

I don't have a S9982/50 on hand or intend on getting one but I can tell you it has a lot more features than the S9000. Notably it has a cleaning pod, an app, and pressure sensors. Personally I'm not picky with my shavers to shell the extra money for the features. I don't know that pressure sensors and beard length adjustments will make the shave quality that much better. Thanks for the questions!

@@TryTryingHarder Yea~ s9982/50 has more accessories and cheaper than the prestige.... so I meant, if they shave the same... then it makes more sense to buy the S9982/50 instead of the prestige~? but if the prestige shaves better, closer and more comfortable... then you will have to choose between the shave quality vs price and accessories...

@jason81949 ah, so there are a couple different versions of the S9000 out there. Mine only came with a trimmer head as an accessory. And was valued less than this S9982 www.philips.com.sg/c-p/S9982_50/shaver-series-9000-wet-dry-electric-shaver There is a S9000 that the charging pad actually fits in the carrying case and has like a nose trimmer too. Mine does not. I felt just looking at the specs that the S9982 seemed better. I appreciate you watching my video. Thank you for the comments.

@@waynea4651 great break down of the points! Exactly like you said. Prestige has a better handle and the wireless charging is too big and charge too slow. Shaving result is the same as I remembered when I tried them both. So I kept the s9982/50. And the light and app are gimmicky. I don’t use them anymore. Cleaning station… I only use it once a month kinda thing, since mostly I just brush it off and clean it during a shower when I occasionally do a wet shave. However, recently I don’t know why, the s9982/50 almost give me a cut on my skin every time. Usually on upper lip, side of my lips, or chin or neck…. Making me don’t know what to do know.

Their One Blade Pro model would chop through your 7 day growth in no time. Personally I shave once a week with general tidying up every 2'nd day hence why an Electric shaver isn't suited to me. These higher end shavers are best for those out there wanting a baby smooth face every day.

Agreed. I'm in the same boat. I mostly just need to trim up my beard which this isn't the best at. But it is good for keeping things baby smooth without irritation.

@TryTryingHarder I only just ordered a Panosonic Arc6 (with cleaning station) on Aussie Ebay for a steal at just $423 AUD. With their 90 day trial period I'll give it a go as it's meant to mow through 3-7 day growth on just one pass or stroke so I am keen to see it that's fact or fiction. Have a good one, hot az here in Brisbane, QLD the last week with 35 C / 100 F. Great storms though in the evening to cool things down with a nice cold Crafty (Beer)

I've never used a Panasonic shaver so I don't have a basis. However I'm still happy with this shaver.

Can it be charged with wire? The charging pad seems to big for travelling ~~~

  • @TryTryingHarder

Unfortunately no. It has a pretty good battery life. The pad is at least thin so it's not too much more if you were to be traveling with the case. But if you were only throwing the shaver in the pad does add some bulk.
