Pes for me this year. I switch to fifa last year, I learned that is not all about good presenation and licenses.

This PES trailer was so good..

It sounds so stupid but I hate FIFA for the difficulties. On professional I win EVERYTHING, but on World Class, I lose EVERYTHING. PES? It's just right. I can go into Master League and win games I should, and lose games I should. Yes, replays suck. Yes, it doesn't have the premier league licensing. BUT WHO CARES? I can mod it easy. Tons of mods out there! Keep chucking it out TTB - lovin' it!

And mentioning mods means how bad is PES, cause you need to modify it to get better gameplay and license and everything while in FIFA, you already have everything

I agree...FIFA 14,15 and 16 look almost the same, with some minor tweaks. People say GKs in PES are weak...I say GKs in PES are at 80% of their real life counterparts, but GKs in FIFA are overpowered, they are at 120% of theri real life counterparts. And as far as referees go, Fifa ref gives too much cards, chops the game, and Pes ref is a bit too lenient, but for me its better to have more flowing game, than a choppy one...but maybe its just me. This year Pes is better.

+Top scorer attacks haha it's PES who has copied FIFA and all of the FIFA's from 11 were great games and way better than PES. Harder game and everything was and is better on FIFA. If you're a shit player then play PES and don't even think about FIFA

it's a straight forward decision for me. PES all day. Fifa has license advantage and presentation, but the gameplay goes to PES by a distance. Gameplay is much more important.

***** How do you think they do it in real life? Positioning, dropping back to mark him before he can get in behind and cutting off the pass completely wether it be in the air or in the ground, or stopping him from making the pass at all.

I prefer the gameplay in PES. The pace is great, collision system's great, tactics are effective, dribbling is responsive, matches are varied. FIFA felt great but then it quickly started to feel less enjoyable and stale. Need to play it more to figure out why. The presentation for the demo was amazing though. So far ahead of PES in that department. As for graphics it's the same old story. FIFA has the grass, stadiums, and crowds. PES has the player models and faces.

+Nicolò F. of course it is ! it depends on the situation ...On Pes 2016 the players move and react differently,but sometimes you can't spot it not even after 20 matches ! ...on fifa canadian fake all the players are running in the same way lol ..the collission is always the same ..not to mention some horrible bugs ...actually on canadian marketing artificial shit fifa the matches are the same,only the differences of the goals are different ...same phases over an over again,rewpetitive and linear,not too much buidl-up play,on fifa you feel like on basketball lol,counter-attacks after every couple of seconds

FIFA looks more glowing but i always find myself get bored after 2 or 3 games,unlike in PES which i can play for hours. FIFA 16 is better than last year game but it is just not enough variety to keep me playing it for a while.

Very fair review. Well explained. I like the PES demo so much more than FIFA. I bought PES last year for the 1st time in my life after probably almost 20 years of owning FIFA games (including '15) all the way back to the original PlayStation (yeah, I guess I'm sorta old). Anyway, I enjoyed playing PES last year more-it wasn't perfect but it played like a more realistic game of football--to my eyes anyway. I like playing a game that at least resembles what I watch every weekend. And this year with the new collision system and physical interactions, it's much better still. The biggest complement I can give it is probably this--I actually like playing defense in PES 2016(!) ...and I'd never thought I'd say that about a football game.You can really play a hard, physical defensive style if you have the right team and make it tough on your opponent. Looking forward to trying it with a team like Atletico Madrid against Barcelona and seeing how it goes. Of course on offense, the game is a joy, the passing is really smooth and the AI seems quite good. Hopefully the Master League has been improved and is not just a reworking of a few menus (but at least this year I won't have to spend time fixing the team kits [Edit: Oops, just realized you already have a video about the Master League for 2016. I will watch it directly.] No need to bash FIFA, lots of people like it and who knows, I may go back eventually, but it's no longer for me at this point. Not until they really sort out their gameplay, but I will miss some of their presentation value!

I can't wait for the release regardless whether the will be licenses for the premier league clubs great video brits

I feel like Fifa is just a more refined game. Pes is on the right tracks and the gap each year is slowly getting smaller. I hope pes focuses on their overall presentations, replays etc.

+Katsura Kotarou I disagree. I mainly played offline for PES15 and I was happy. The only complaint I had was that the AI showed no urgency when they were losing and just passed the ball around. That is something they need to fix for 16.

Really good video TTB! BUT I didn't hear you talking about how insanely bad the AI on FIFA is... I've played FIFA every year since 2004 & I'm thinking about switching to PES, purely for the AI (& Champions League + the Option File thing). I play the AI on Legendary or World-class & they just pass the ball around for ages without attacking since I'm covering where they want to pass it. (The AI controlled players on my team doesn't really do anything even tho I out the tactics on press-harder or whatever it says, but it's always only 2 players who pressure (R1 to make teammate go for the ball, meanwhile I cover a passing space with another.)) No matter if I'm up 2-0, 1-0 if it's 0-0 or 0-1 etc, the AI on FIFA just passes the ball around like if they wanna time waste. They don't create any chances even tho they get like 65% possession. I want the AI to attack otherwice it's bye bye to FIFA... [sorry for long comment but I really wanted to say this]

hey TTB, from what i've heard in regards to the demo being diff from the final build... i've heard (and read) that in regards to the new style of slower/more realistic pacing seen in the demo, the final build will NOT drastically change or become faster paced like it was in fifa 15. now there may be other aspects that they change in the final version, but from all i've read about the final ver, this year's fifa will play similar to what you see in the demo. the reason being is because EA has been pretty open about all of the changes they wanted to make in this years fifa... the biggest changes being the slower more realistic pace & midfield play & AI defense in as far as not being able to so easily play the game from end to end like in last year's game.

I think both games are good, but FIFA is just missing something for me. I feel it's individuality that's missing. In FIFA, it feels like Neymar is just another high rated player. However, in PES Neymar feels like Neymar. I too enjoy the females more than the men. The gameplay mechanics suit the women's game more than the men's game. Hopefully, more people buy PES in America.

i don't know , it feels that the players movement in pes is a little robotic yet , for me they still go to in a straight line , but it's still awesome.

im getting both, pes is better for passing and playing tactical football but the only thing putting me off is how easy it is to score with finesse shot, fifa better graphics and presentation, still think the goalies parry the ball to much in the area and someone scoring, i will have to adjust the sliders in settings to make it more realistic

Loved this comparison. Fifa has some issues that come a long way now... 1 - I hate when you make a short ground pass and the player wait for the ball. Since Fifa 14 to say the least its been like that and that makes me crazy. Players should attack short balls... 2 - When you score in Fifa you celebrate alone or with ONE more player, there are no group celebrations. 3 - Both Fifa and PES had issues with players keeping their positions and not going to better and open spots. I loved the way PES adressed this on 16. Now if you run to one direction your teamate goes to a better position, trying to get open. In Fifa I think they still a little dumb staying close to defenders and making the game too obedient to the formation wich is very unrealistic for me. What do you think about this things?

FIFA 16 by far, simply because I play on PC and the PC version of PES will obviously be a straight up PS3 port. The problem is that both games become stale after a while, FIFA because of the AI that plays the same ping-pong perfect passing game on WC/Legendary, while PES because of its limited licenses/game modes. Yes, patches do help, but I still have to play on the same 15 stadiums, 6 leagues and until now, a barebones Master League (this year's edition looks mile better but I have to see it in action).

No probs for me regarding PES, PC mods are there and when I'm done modding my game, it's richer and more enjoyable then FIFA in that sense. New replay angles only needed definitely, it's completely embarrassing what they've got in the game now.

I have an Xbox one, so will I be able to get the premiere league stuff like everyone on ps4 or not?

Both games are looking great this year, but pes need to fix the goal keeper thing, it's too easy to beat them in close range and fifa I just hope people don't abuse the dynamic crossing thing cause it's kinda overpowered

For me the difference is so minor from fifa 15 to 16 asking for a 60$ upgrade is beyond absurd. PES this year is the way to go.

pes full manual is the most realistic a football game has been i feel. hard to say definitively because i havent played with/against all teams, but it seems like it. fifa's made an improvement i think but the defending is still a bit dodgy. fifa is probably still better, but pes is definitely more realistic

what do you guys think about the ''new'' classic stadiums in PES this year, it is an improvement from last year, i don't really care if they are fake ( not lisenced), if we just have some variety, i'm pleased. just hoping that they add those in the PS3 version aswell...

I'd say PES and put use true brits suggested settings. Game speed -1 and set passing to manual. Very realistic imo and tough to master.

To be fair if you're one on one like Benzema was, you are gonna score like 99% of the time. Both PES and FIFA have improved this year from what I've experienced, it annoys me when people bash one or the other, why not enjoy both for what they are? They appeal to two different football fans and they are both all the better for it in my opinion

FIFA 16 is the better game from playing both demo's. I was going to switch to PES this year after the awful experience of FIFA15, but they've improved the game a lot. Much more realistic, better pace to the game. Enjoyed PES2016 too, but haven't got the time to play both with Star Wars BF just around the corner.

Pes ofc. feefa doesn't have the wow feeling when you score a goal and it never will be for me. I don't care about the replays I can go in detail myself and online they just skip it. in pes the players movement is awesome if you choose the right tactics. the player models looks spot on where in feefa they look horrible. pes has improved alot from 2014 so can't wait to see what the future holds :)

i disagree with u about pes shooting they need to stay as they are to score a lot of goals.We dont need a boring game,if u remember pes 6 ived barely finished a game 1-0 always scoring 3,4 goals per game so it was the best game from konami.So as i said it needs to stay as it is is ok.Only 1 con from me is the players movement ,very bad,floating over the pitch ,hope they will change it next year.Keep u p the good work mate!

That's Fifa logic. It's not realistic if you score that many goals per game. Plus keepers aren't shifting like they should to stop those shots which also isn't realistic

I usually play offline with the "boys" with the regular teams (Barca, Real Madrid, Zlatan) I'm not into Ultimate teams or other modes I read that I will be happier with PES16 so I sold FIFA16 and waiting for the delivery. the thing is I like soccer games, but I just got tired from FIFA16 very quick and stopped being fun, I don't know why. I guess I had to make the switch !

The ball physics in Pes16 when it's in the air for passes and shots seems a little slow/floaty Dunno why they seem to have a hard time with it tbh, all you need to know is a little bit of mathematics to get it realistic

AFTER PLAYING 5 MONTHS I THINK (AND A PERSON WHO KNOWS ABOUT FOOTBALL WILL AGREE) PES DESTROYED FIFA WITH THIS NICE AND ACCURATE COLLISION SYSTEM AND PLAYER MOTION. +Rafi Ahmed That's surprising because pes 16 can run full 1080p native 60fps while pes on the Xbox one its not a native 1080p it's 900p I'm not a fanboy I have both pes is better for offline gameplay while Fifa has the online and presentation.

Nevermind the licencses. FIFA 16 has also better gameplay and feels more realistic to me. People who are used to PES might think otherwise. I played them both.

I Liked

I only looked at PES this year and it shits on Fifa, it's more responsive, organic and unpredictable, it makes Fifa seem like it's on rails, you know how a player is going to receive the ball every time, you know when a ball is going to be intercepted etc etc

However FIFA does it for me. PES is gradually catching up though year by year. If they improve some of the physics, add on to the commentary (keep the energy in it though) and improve further on the larger details rather than the face details and all because PES ALREADY beasts in that area, so instead focus on grass physics because PES is a better close-up while FIFA wins when you actually play a match graphically (and that's the important aspect because close-ups are 10%-20% of what you see). Maybe add in and/or revamp/improve some game modes, and PES has got a complete football experience game in my books. PES has more potential than FIFA, while FIFA is currently at the peak. FIFA is like Christiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi - very fucking great but isn't going to improve much more probably (FIFA will improve, but there's not many more BIG things that they possibly have left to do), while PES is like James Rodriguez or Neymar - still really good, but just not as great, but given more years and experience, will just get even better and eventually reach that "GREAT!" potential. Get what I mean?

+CJstarRAPwwe What REALLY does it for me though is the Career Mode in FIFA.. It has so much in-depth character, emotion as a player of the game and so much life this year (a vast improvement in my books). If it wasn't for that, I may have actually gone for PES as the main game to switch on every day, as FIFA 15 switched me off a little bit (and unfortunately I did NOT have PES 2015 to switch to).

what about juventus?,and people nowadays place the ball......the goalkeepers are difficult to control because they are not caught in animation...that means you have to do the handwork your self and that ball physics mechanic doesn't help,fifa16 the all the players run the same,pes16 game speed varies according to what tactics are used in the first half/later stages of the game..plus pes16 this year......there is a french youtuber who actually does this game justice by breaking it down ...player moment on and off the ball player etc ....

+The Silent Killer Yes is in the demo. Go to stadium setting and put everything in random. Weather, Season, grass, etc and put it all in random. It's not always working every time though.

PES has much better passing, the game plays more fluid, Fifa feels really slow nice graphics but PES has the better gameplay

It all boils down to style over substance. If graphics are all that matter its Fifa, but for me gameplay is the most important thing( still play sensible soccer lol!!), and on that front PES wins hands down. Dont get me wrong fifa actually plays ok, but its just to slow for me.

In PES16 it`s too easy to score in the penality area, and feel like retro game!

FIFA make a demo then patch it speed it up and 3 years later were still playing Fifa 13 nothing new in Fifa this year tweaked a few bits made draft thats the major difference £50 for the game plus pack opening I don't think it's worth it il be moving to pes can't put the demo down

People knows the facts about the battle and fifa is the big winner since 2010 and this is a fact hate it or leave it.

+JN101199 LOL ..first of all you should realise from the beginning fifa 16 copied a little pes 15 gameplay style ..but it's still shit,linear and repetitive,same phases over and over again,some horrible bugs and without depth,without too much build -up play ...On Pes 2016 the players move and react differently ,they have their own style of gameplay ...on fifa all the players running in the same way lol ... Pes 2016 is the most fluid,smooth and natural football i've ever played ...the game is very reactive,sometimes on the rain,the players slip even without any touch,so realistic and fun ...I recommend you to play on live broadcast camera,even if it's a little harder ...it doesn't matter the score,play Pes 16 on live broadcast camera and you will see and feel the most realistic football game ever ..and for your information,some important reviewers already title pes 16 like ''the best football game in history'' ..and personally ,i totally agree.. you don't know how many fifa players wake-up and switch to the real football sim ,PES 2016

The bomber attacks you seem very passionate about this... Lol. I haven't played the demos, but I have watched gameplay for both. If by "copied" you mean "slowed down the gameplay", which is what everyone keeps talking about, I don't think that really qualifies. That would be like PES adding new net animations or kits that FIFA already has. Both are working to make a better experience. It makes sense that, in the process, each would start improving in areas where they are weaker and their competition is stronger. As for the game itself, there certainly are aspects where PES trumps FIFA. Player animations, character models, dribbling, I prefer PES. However, keepers in PES are abysmal, as are the refs. Fouls in PES are rare, but when they happen its almost a yellow card, no matter how small. I don't think injuries that last beyond 1 game are even coded in. The transfer system in PES 15 is crap, and CPU-CPU transfers basically never happen. In terms of gameplay, I give the edge to PES. But, if you're looking for a better overall career mode experience, it's FIFA hands down. I'll be interested to see if PES 16 takes steps to change that. I hope it will.

i prefer playing fifa because it,s more dynamiqe and belivable it,s more close to real life than pes but fifa is good on xbox one and ps4 and pc but on ps3 it was horrible so does pes and in the graphics side fifa is much more better than pes so i love fifa

thats what happens in real life too you lose the ball whilst playing with BARCA they slay you

I didn't really like fifa 15 or pes 15.. The thing i hate about both games is that the defending AI is retarded.. They doesn't close obvious passing lanes and so on.. But this year both games looks and feels a lot better. I can't decide so im getting both. I just hope that EPL options file will be available soon after the pes release on the PS4.

@9:20 those ugly replay angles. I have them all the time and they are - as you said - shocking! Can´t really enjoy watching nearly missed chances. This is my biggest gripe with PES.
