At the moment i test this lens and i agree complete with your findings. I'm in two minds with those lenses. On the one hand i do really like them on the other hand i scratch my head and think why not just buy a used XF10-24. Ok its a F2 lens but to get decent quality i have to stop down to F5.8 to 8 anyway. I thougt i can replace my Samyang 12mm with this, but despite beeing old the Samyang is still better optically at least fully useable at F2 on the other hand zhis has nice sunstars and better flare . Really like the built, feel and look of the tt artisan. Interestingly i never really warmed up with the Samy just don't know why maybe the colors i just don't know.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think the extra 2mm on the Samyang is maybe why you haven't warmed up to it. I have the same issue with my 14mm vs 17mm. I much prefer the 14mm even though it's optically inferior.

For micro four thirds users, is the Laowa 10mm f2 worth the extra money?

It's a lot smaller, so if you value size/weight then yes. Otherwise, I think the TTArtisan will do just as well. However, I've never shot with the Laowa, so check Christopher Frost reviews for both lenses. Get the one that meets your needs best.

Would you use this lense for nightscape?

I didn't test for that in this video, so I went out for a few minutes tonight in my backyard. There is very slight coma at f2 in the corners and almost none by f4. It's so wide angle that you really have to zoom in 5x to see it. So short answer is yes, no problem.

Which do you think is better between this lens vs Samyang 12mm F2?

I would get the TTartisans just for the extra 2mm. It makes a big difference.

How does this lens' image quality and sharpness compare to sony 11mm f1.8 ?

For stills, the sony is better at f2 and has autofocus. At f/5.6 about the same. If your budget allows, get the sony.

My wide-angle of choice (MFT, rectilinear) is the Slr Magic 8mm f4.
