Phil is such a delight. Being American, we never really got the Time Team episodes over here (to my knowledge), so I've been spending quarantine absolutely stuffing myself on them. I just can't get enough of Phil, his enthusiasm always has me beaming from ear to ear, and I find myself incredibly jealous of anyone who gets to learn directly from this gem of a man. It has me wishing my academic career had taken a different track...English Literature is fun and all, but if they ever build a time machine, I'm heading across the Pond for some good old-fashioned British archaeology.

Hello Flippetskater... Search the archives.... The Time Team programme DID do some digs in the USA... In total there were 9 episodes aired in the UK that had been filmed on US soil..... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Team_America.... I found this on Wikipedia...

@@skymotel2 yes, I didn't mean filmed here, I meant that we didn't get to SEE them here, because they didn't air on television here, as many other British TV shows did from time to time. But thanks, I'll make sure I haven't missed any of those!

since I found Time Team and have been watching, I have a few favorites but Dr. Phil Harding, is at the top, I so enjoy him, his laugh, his OOOOOH Aw...Like a kid in a candy store when he is on a sight of a dig and sees flint. His passion on each dig, just blows me away and the way he also loves to teach when he can do so.

That was an interesting game and I might try it out myself but one thing I would like to know is when was the wall built for it would be lovely to know when the flint was broken and placed into the wall for it makes you wonder how old the wall is but I love these little bits of behind the scenes snippets for they are interesting and funny.

To be fair it would be unlikely to find two halves in different courses. Unless the builder had a huge bucket of flints and a bad case of OCD.
