I'm not very familiar with Messiaen, but Loriod and Aimard whose sets have been widely praised both play at a similar speed - is this a widespread issue?

I don't know how anyone deals with learning from 7:22 to 7:35. It is actually so annoyingly hard. And there's like barely a pattern.
