I have been selected as an international PhD student this year on CSC ... 😊 hoping to get a separate room from uni as PhD students are given separate room with attach washroom due to high level of studies

Hi, I would like to inquire about the application process. From what I've investigated is that THU application deadlines are in January, is this information accurate? I've just started my last high school year three weeks ago and won't be receiving the graduation certificate until June. For this type of situation, do you know if there is any other alternative?(Like if there is another application date?) I know that HSK is needed, can't be omitted, but do you know if this also applies for SAT? Going back to the previous topic about HSK, What is an acceptable level of Chinese for international students to be able to apply? (I've searched and it says that as minimum, the applicant needs an level of HSK 4 with the condition of reaching to a higher level in a given period of time to the contrary he/she must leave the university. Is this information right? Do you know more details about this?)

isn't it hsk 4 and by the end of the year u have to be hsk 5

For a CSC scholarship student(undergrad), do we get to choose our room? If not, what type of room do we get?

For CSC Undergraduate only get double room(with roommate). Masters or above gets single room.

I am looking to go here or Peking University since I got the Chinese gov't scholarship, is there another dorm option or something for like a single room?

yulpiewsert1 If you’re on the Chinese government scholarship in Tsinghua for Bachelor degree you only get double room. If you’re there for a master degree you’ll get a single room.

U M The system now is very different from how I got in. My HSK level was 6 for applying Tsinghua but I think from 2017 HSK 4 is already enough to get in. Depends on the faculty you apply some situations you’ll be put in the class with the Chinese students. So it’s gonna be really hard to keep up with them. Good luck tho 😊

tsinghua is top uni in china so obviously it's hard to get into. Acceptance rate is also very low . I think you need like straight As in major exams ( I just think I don't study in tsinghua im too dumb)

You can sleep with your boyfriend/girlfriend in the dorms (if you have single room)? Chinese or foreign bf/gf

lau No. The 阿姨 in the building will let them leave. Guests have to leave after 10 PM. They will come knocking on your door to tell them to leave. But its still possible, if you guys live in the same building so no 阿姨 will check🤣

it´s 40 Yuan per day. However, if you prefer to have a room for your own, it´s double the price, 80 Yuan per day.
