For anyone who's currently searching for help and is currently stressing about the TSI. Please get this course, I've never been a fan of math and I failed the TSI 3 times before I found Mr Tooheys course. He is a joy to listen to and can break math down to basics and will teach you how to apply logic to the questions. Watch the videos, do the homework, and study. the only thing I'd change when doing fractions and finding out which one is the biggest turning fractions into decimals you will be able to tell which fraction is bigger. Of course that how I was taught 30 years ago which is probably not how they do it in today world.

No, that works great!! As long as they give you access to a calculator for that particular question, you can always turn fractions into decimals to make the question a whole lot easier! Great point!

Looking at these with logic instead of a scary math formula way is genius! THANK YOU!

Oh my gosh. Stop what you're doing and get his crash course!!!! I struggled so much with math and passing the TSI for a long time now. After buying and studying the material in the crash course, I passed! Couldn't be happier that weight is lifted off my shoulders.

Hi Mr. Toohey. I’m a senior in Texas and I just found out last week that I have to take the TSI for one of my colleges. I was rather intimidated about this exam, considering the last math class I took was in high school 10years ago. Omg so today I took Tsi test for the third time after I have been postponing it like forever... because I was afraid to fail again. I watched through the videos until the video for day3 part1 and then studied some little extra stuffs(within 2days). On my second time I got 340 and the passing scores is 350. I took the test today and I got 367!! Like.. this never happened to me before! Thank you so much for making these videos. You helped me get the sense of math and instead of knowing the method I just know various ways to get the answer easily. Thank you💕

I'm 44 just got my high school diploma through penn foster and filed my college application tonight. I filled out my fafsa and have to go take my TSI. I’ve watched all of your videos and literally watched a few today while waiting to go in for my TSI assessment. I passed all three phases with more than enough points to move on into college level courses. I can honestly say I would not have passed the math portion w/o watching your videos! Your “rules” helped immensely and I was able to eliminate half of the answer choices and focus on which ones were likely to be correct. I was surprised when the proctor said I had passed all subjects with high scores! Thanks, mate!

Great first part, it is explained as simple as possible for everyone to understand!

The absolute BEST prep for TSI math! I haven't been in a math class in about 9 years and I passed first time testing using his methods. I watched all the videos in order, then watched 3 & 4 again while doing the homework attached and added in some practice questions from another website while using his technique and it works! I had a question and emailed him to ask about how to answer, he responded quickly and with a simplified explanation that helped me to figure the problem out and apply the concept again for a problem that popped up on my actual TSI. Very pleased with my purchase of his full course, 10/10 would recommend.

I never thought of math like Mr.Toohey introduces it! Made what seemed daunting into something really easy! Went back and watched the solutions for the questions I didn’t get right in the homework until I could do them all first try, then went and passed the TSI math portion with a 961 after having been out of school for 7 years. Thank you, I am an old one but I did manage to homeschool four of five of my kids through basic math and fraction BUT I didn't touch algebra. I can't say that I am not too comfortable with tests. I can't thank you enough. I have been postponing this test and back of my advisors to waive the test for me just to avoid math. I'm so terrible at math and it's been 15 years I touched the basics. I wish I could put into words exactly how much this has helped me. Of all the videos on KZread about the math TSI, Mr. Toohey’s method of teaching made the most sense to me. I have a diagnosed learning disability in math, and have also been out of school for a decade, meaning I basically had to relearn the basics. I bought the crash course which is only $50, and it’s the best purchase I’ve made since investing in my future. I took the math TSI this past Sunday after studying and rewatching the crash course videos, and with tears of pure joy I passed on my first attempt with a 953. It shut off after the first 20 questions. I am now eligible to apply for the nursing program at my college, but there’s no way that would have been possible without Mr. Toohey’s way of teaching. If this could help me, I promise it could help ANYBODY. Good luck to all, don’t give up, and rewatch the videos as much as possible before the test. 🎉🎉🎉

I've been out of high school for over 6 years so I wasn't sure where to start when preparing to take the TSI. I came across your videos and decided to buy the rest of the course since that would still be way cheaper than a remedial math class. I only studied the day of the test and I was pretty sure I would pass, but since I took all 3 test back to back I was pretty tired by the time I got to the math test which was given to me last. Make sure to check out the Day 3 (part 1) video... most of the first 25 questions that determine if you pass or fail are more like the questions in that video.

I have been out of school for 10 years and I am going back to finish my pre-requs for nursing! Your videos make the most sense to me and help with the way I learn rather than my prep books. I've been getting higher scores on mock tests and actually feel I'm ready for my test next week. Thank you!

15 years since my last math class I took the TSI cold hoping I would pass. I got a 343. I signed up again for a week later. I came across Mr. Toohey's videos the day before I retook the TSI. I watched the videos, worked out the problems and then took the TSI the next morning. I got a 358! His method def works!

Hi Mr Toohey, I can’t thank you enough for how helpful your course has been, I was stressing out so bad for this TSI math section because I’ve been out of school for 2 years and so everything I’ve basically forgotten! But goodness I can’t believe a crash course for 6 days which I crammed into 3 which is a little overboard but I made it work has helped me pass the test in my first try! I did 20 questions and got a 954! Thank you so much and you have been an excellent teacher ☺️

Homeschooling mom here. I've got three teenage boys who all need to pass the math TSI. I really appreciate your videos, which I JUST found today. My eldest son is 19, and finished with ALL of his college basics (56 credit hours!) and needs to pass the math TSI and take College Algebra, badly. Math has just not been our thing, but I'm working on fixing that. I'm going to break these vids down for them into smaller segments (like each problem) with timestamps. If my kids consume chunks of these videos with smaller segments, I think this will be very helpful to them! Not sure how much study time we have left, before the eldest kid takes the TSI again on Thursday, this week. He works, so evening study time will have to do! If he doesn't pass, we will hit these videos HARD, and try again.

Thank you for reaching out to me!! We homeschool our daughters as well, so I can totally relate! The key to passing the TSI is realising that you don’t need to know EVERYTHING about math or algebra - just enough to find the right answer! You can use a lot of common sense and basic estimation to figure things out, especially if you can learn how to plug in values in place of the variables (a strategy I explain in later videos...). Keep practicing. These strategies work, and I strongly suspect that if your kids put in the work, they will be in good shape. I just got a message from a student who passed after watching and studying the videos.... Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any other way! Also, pass this on to anyone you know who needs help.... I am trying to help as many students as possible. Thanks!

I work with children (I'm a kid's mental health counselor), so I'll definitely pass on your video links to any kids I come into contact with who are needing more help getting ready to start taking college classes. Some kids today are taking college classes very early. My sons all are starting college early, with dual credit, each at age 15. The middle and youngest sons are focusing on taking trade classes (machinist), so they will HAVE to up their math game.

After being out of the classroom for some years, I bought the complete TSI math crash course from Mr. Toohey, and after 3 days of studying, I passed the TSI with a great score. I don't recommend rushing it as I did, but if you take your time and learn how to do most of his tricks, you'll pass it with ease. Good luck!

I haven’t studied math for about 15 years, and was desperate when I found out I had to take the TSI math, until I found this videos that helped me A LOT. I ended up passing on my first attempt to the test thanks to this very helpful videos!

Get this course! It’s so worth it! I’ve lived in the states for only 10 years and haven’t been in school in over 15years. With the help of this course I passed the Math portion with a 971 first try! 🎉 The key is: Use logical thinking, draw it out if you have to and plug in the numbers! Some math problems are easy, some have you sweating… BUT if you compose yourself and follow what he teaches you in this course you will pass!

Bryan, I’ve been out of school 44 years and I’m just now pursuing my BS degree. Stay with it! I watched Toohey’s videos and smashed the TSI today! I watched a lot of algebra videos, but Toohey’s methods made the most sense. I only wish he had been my algebra teacher years ago! Good luck!

Just watched after my first attempt missing the score I needed by 9 points! Feel much more confident now after seeing this and am taking it again tomorrow! Wish you could’ve been my teacher back when I was in HS!

Exactly!! Schools may use your score to determine which remedial math class (or classes) to put you in if you don’t pass.... However, with a little prep, you shouldn’t have too much difficulty. Focus on that strategy of plugging in values in place of the variables and you will be good!

I’m very great full that you have a crash course for the tsia it’s really gonna be helpful really needed this refresher

I just finished taking my Tsi, while I was taking it, I was skeptical about the tips because I kept feeling like I got everything wrong but then once I got the score I was so shocked 💀 I got a 967- First time I took my exam, I got a 946.. thank you so muchhhhhh!!

I graduated from high school 6 years ago and I’ve decided to go to Dental Hygiene school so I’m having to start my college classes which means I have to take a TSI test! I took a practice TSI test and I didn’t remember ANYTHINGGGGGG at all! Nothing. Nada. I found your videos on KZread and purchased your math class! Thank goodness I did!! So I failed my first 2 attempts at the Math portion of the TSI. But the 3rd times a charm for me thanks to Mr. Toohey's tutoring videos! I watched the videos through but didn't do the homework the 2nd time, but this time I did the practice questions several times over and watched the 4th day vids several times. The tips and tricks Mr. Toohey shares really helped me to finally pass this test! I definitely recommend purchasing the full crash course if you want to avoid remedial math classes. Thanks again!

So I just finished my TSI! I got a 360!!! If I didn’t find your videos I would‘ve bombed! I’m in legit shock right now!!! I’m that person who can barely do basic addition without a calculator!! Spend the $50 bucks, it’s well worth it!

I’m an honors student who’s graduating next month. Im exempt from every other portion of the tsi except for the math and i failed it today… i was in disbelief that i failed but now i understand i just forgot basic math because i’ve been doing advanced stuff for so long. thank you for this!!

I’m so happy to help! I work with students in your situation all the time!! They know all the right “operations” on high level math, but standardized tests like the TSI just don’t test you on that stuff… watch all my videos, and tap into your logic and common sense, you will be just fine! Graduated high school over 20 years ago and when I decided to go back to school 2 years ago I failed the math portion of the TSI. Went back to retest today and aced it. All I did was spend a couple of days with your crash course. Thank you!
