There's jews that lived in arab countires (not so much this days) or jews that can speak arabic. but jews that are arab is not a thing.. just like kurds and Amazighs and Berbers and other minorities in the middle east and north africa aren't arabs. i mean i know all middle eastern people look the same to y'all, but we really not.@@alisarosado8471

@the dark age the arab colonialism of the region dont define us. We're jews, we speak hebrew, we have our own culture. Some of us also speaking arabic dosent mean we are arabs, If i learn to speak chinese will that make me a chinese person? Lol.. we got some arabic culture from the arab countirs we lived in, but we also have american culture from all the movies and music we consume, dosent mean we're americns.

@the dark age Of course there was diffrences between all tribes of israel living in diffrent part of the world for centuries, but all jews spoke hebrew in some capacity, thats how we pray ffs.. Today all israelis speak the exact same hebrew and share israeli culture, not sure what there is to convince, its just the way it is. Anyway, when jews lived in arab muslim countries they was referd to as jews, treated as jews, had spesific laws for being jews, pay a jew tax, and now you come telling me they were arabs just like anyone else? When my grandparents got ethnic cleansed out of iraq in the farhud they were most definitely not arabs... they were yahud. whatever, if arabs all of sudden wanna take ownership over us they can fool themselves, i dont really give a shit. Bye

Nir Hakimian he managed to imitate it to a big degree but not a 100%. I can still tell he is not Native egyptian :). But his voice was nice

My pleasure. Well, now that I listened to the song again... just minor mispronunciations due to variations in arabic accents ... he pronounced 'bashta'lak' (I miss you) as 'bashtaklak' which is the palestinian arabic accent, they pronounce the QAF letter as kaf .... in egyptian accent it's ' bashta'lak, we just say the QAF as 'Aah ' sound' -- .. Also another one.... instead of saying 'oyouni tendahlak' , he said 'oyounnn tendahlak' ..he paused on the 'nn' sound.. Everything else is fine. Someone mentioned he pronounced some words wrong because the Bashtaqlak word was said several times in the song & is different from how Amr Diab sings it so it was obvious to people who know the song(as it was quite popular)

Nir... Tsahi Halevi has a Moroccan Jewish mother that moved to Isreal. He grew up in an environment where he was mostly exposed to the Palestinian Arabic (of course mostly exposed to Hebrew, I mean in comparison with other Arabic dialects). Both for instance Moroccan and Palestinian are different from the Egyptian dialect, so even though he doesn't sound perfectly Egyptian, he sounds like a native singer of Arabic, using the Egyptian dialect, but not having it as his own.
