Reheater is special device like another boiler to prevent loss of heat, we reheat the hot water(steam from superheater losses its energy in the HP turbine) at exit of the high pressure turbine and pass it to the low pressure turbine to improve the mechanical efficiency of the turbine there by plant and this is a different cycle also different for different devices. in reality we will use all of them in plant. reheater, regenerator, economizer and air preheater all to improve steam quality there by to improve turbine efficiency, and to decrease load on condenser, boiler many factors and uses comes into picture.

After saturated steam entering turbine steam losses its energy to blades and steam becomes unsaturated converts into water, this water is very hot we use it in reheater to make steam again( but the quality and pressure reduced will be reduced) send it to low pressure or intermediate turbines to do the work again. . if there is a loss of energy as we know 100% heat is not converted into 100% work due to losses pmm is not possible. Why can't we send this water to boiler, in real plants the pressure temperature are very low which wont produce high quality steam to run the turbine and condenser is there for reason i cant type now😂
