In theory of machines if centre distance increase then contact ratio will be incresed, pressure angle also incresed,radius will be constant but incase of arc of contact also incresed. Contact ratio=arc of contact /circular pitch. If centre dist. increase then arc of contact will also increses.

Formula Arc of contact = ((Ra^2 - (Rcos(phi))^2)^0.5 + ((ra^2 - (rcos(phi))^2)^0.5 - (R+r)sin(phi)/ cos(phi) In this as we increase center distance r,R phi increases which (r+R)sin(phi) increases but arc of contact decreases as it having-ve sign in formula and this term (r+R)sin(phi) is more significant then other terms.
