The packaging is insanely gorgeous. I used to collect stuff and not use it because I didn’t want to ruin it. I have started to use my good stuff. I’m worth it.
out of all youtubers, your opinions are always the ones I trust most-- you're just so genuine and knowledgeable with how you describe your thoughts! I really want to see more of the circus collection bc you're absolutely right, it's about aesthetic preference! while I think the rococo line is gorgeous, the circus packaging definitely sings to me:')

🥲🥲🥲 omg you're such a sweet pea - thank you so much for watching and your lovely words, I really appreciate it 💖 yes 1000% their different lines all are so distinct in their aesthetics - they just released a Parisian style chocolate shop (?) one that is also so cute!!
It's great to see more Asian brands break into the Western mainstream. I don't really wear makeup anymore since Covid but the lipstick looks really smooth and nourishing.
One c brand that is actually quite popular now is kaleidos, I discovered them because of their colab palette (now discontinued) with Angelica Nyquist and it is now one of my top favorite brands, especially their lip clays

Ahhh I've been eyeing off Kaleidos for ages! They have such gorgeous colour stories 🤤 I also love Angelica 💖 I should try them soon hehehe
I'm so glad I watched you're videos you seem genuinely honest and I love your personality 😂❤ I felt I was with my cousin going over makeup and what we think of it thank you so much
I’m so glad you did this review! I’ve been seeing ads for them on Facebook for the past 4 months and was absolutely drawn to the packaging. But like you I was apprehensive bc I want it to also be quality
This is the first video of yours I’ve seen and you honestly convinced me to order from this brand, i’ve had a few of their items sitting in my wishlist/cart for awhile cause i wasnt sure if their quality was gonna be any good and maybe they just put their trust in their packaging and aesthetic but now im definitely buying. thank youuu💗💗
I just ordered a blush and highlighter from a C-beauty brand and got on KZread and this video had come out I’m so excited
Thank you for being my studying entertainment! I LOVE your uploads!

Omg omg I was literally just debating if I should as you if you’d consider reviewing flower knows🤯🤯 bc they’re literally so so pretty
Omg thank you for this review!! With the panini I stopped paying attention to make up brands and beauty releases, I was happy with what I already had and nothing really caught my eye. But I recently discovered this brand on Instagram and I just can't stop thinking about them 😍😍 The packaging is STUNNING, I'm glad it works well ^^

I feel similarly - I think the beauty trends atm are more in like fragrance and supplements(?) I also didn't buy much makeup in the last couple of years haha, but I've had Flower Knows in my peripheral for like a year at least so it was so great to finally try it and be happy with the quality too :,) 💗 Thank you for watching! 💕
Lilac looks dreamy on you ! 💞💞🧚🏻♀️💞💞

Awww 🥺 Thank you 💗
after being haunted by their instagram ads, 2 weeks ago i dropped a pretty penny on a bunch of their products as a part of my 2023 makeup refresh and i then i immediately had buyer's remorse waiting for the package. it's still en route to me but i am so glad you made this review!! i enjoy your style of makeup and find we have similar taste, makes me excited for my package to come!!!

Hey!!! How you like the makeup???
this video makes me think of Florasis tbh ive been seeing so much of both brands on tiktok
I had never heard of the Flower Knows line. The Flower Knows eye shadow palette is something that I would be interested in. However, when decluttering my makeup, I find the pretty packaged ones are harder to cull. Of course that is a "me" thing. I realize that in order to get the attention of the new customer, obviously the packaging is what draws you, especially when looking at the mass of makeup in places like Sephora.
I don’t wear makeup, but your reviews are always so good!
Quite enjoyable, I've been wondering about this brand for a while. It's now on my try eventually list 🙂I think you'd like Florasis, the packaging is hella collectible, and the makeup is quite good -- I love their pine soot mascara. Zeesea is also good makeup and cute but generally less ornate packaging -- the dragon lipstick is a love of mine. And then Kaleidos for least ornate packaging but also quite good eye shadows, most pigmented of the three brands, and I adore the cloud lab lip clays.
Fun Fact: this brand was started by a gay Chinese couple (who are also cosplayers) who started from the bottom to the top and built their success together 💖💖💖💖 I remember when they first started this brand, so it sounded familiar when it started becoming viral then I realized it was Moemoe Hana and Baozi’s brand haha.
I hadn't heard of this brand before (I rarely use tik tok so that's prob why lmao) but when you showed images of the packaging in the start I was instantly in love omfg. I'm surprised that it's actually good makeup for the price and that the packaging isn't like cheap plastic but then again I'm so used to buying drugstore makeup and stuff on amazon lmao. I feel like this would fit so well into the aesthetic of my bedroom + bathroom bc they're like coquette and girly. gonna have to come back to the flower knows website someday when I have the money and get some
Their blush packaging reminds me of the laduree makeup brand. They also have really pretty aesthetic makeup. They had that viral rose petal blush ages ago lol

I Love your review!!! You interweave humour, friendliness and honesty in your presentation and I think that's really valuable and does you as a make-up reviewer and the brand a lot of justice! Your understanding of the different aesthetic styles for Asian (Korean/Chinese) versus the more pigmented trendy style before is so helpful for clarification!! and just a side note, the circus blush, for the blue part, you can use it under your eye/near your nose to make that region more 'pump', appearing more youthful, without seeming too 'blue'. It's for brightening. You can also mix it with the pink part to get a softer, gradient colour, and adjust their proportion too. The gradient blush is actually really popular due to its multipurpose use: under-eye setting, brightening, gradient effect... try it!

also for the lipstick, you can try a lip-makeup base so the colour appears more like what's in the package for people with darker tones for their lips. I have darker lip tones so for lighter or more pigmented shade, I would try to use a lip base.

Also you can try the FLORIS brand make up!!! The packaging is soooo gorgeous as well!!!
I was about two minutes into grabbing the strawberry rococo pallet a while ago and decided against it because I didn't think I needed the shades available. I super regret that now!
That blush is my cool toned DREAM! I wonder what kind of witchcraft I need to get it to the UK

Heads up W cosmetics (2 brick and mortar in Melb) sell some of this brand.
Thank you for doing neutral colors. Colorful eyeshadows are fun but realistically not what I use so this shows me what I would actually consider buying! ❤
That *is* what mascara is for! 💖💅

Shoot, I didn’t want to spend money…but now you’ve convinced me 😂
I just put in a C-beauty order and passed on the FlowerKnows products because I was worried it was style over substance, after this vid, let’s just say my order has multiplied 😂

I’m not sure if they all originate from china but I shop for most make up from Chinese retailers. I really like colorkey lip products, and im trying out some products from judydoll and Joocyee.
Why sad woman in a Renaissance painting? It's the centre part. Haha. Edit: Omg, the hairband completes it and makes me want you to do a period-themed photo shoot.

You sold me on Pure Rhyme and the other one that was peachy -- Angel Chanson I think? :)

update: they have arrived!!! I tried on Pure Rhyme and oh my God, I have never had a blush apply better with a finger than this. I can't wait to try them with brushes. Pure Rhyme is a gorgeous raspberry pink and Angel Chanson is not quite as peachy as I anticipated, but will still be a valued addition to the collection.
that intro made you earn a subscriber 😂
Hey would you look at that. 👀 just what I was just asking about 😂
This is like too faced but kinda better lol. Also they have a pink eye glitter I think you should check out from their cherry collection!
Most importantly is this brand cruelty free??

@@LucyLivinYT any brand can say there are but theyre not on peta or the cruelty free bunnys website
she thinks animal cruelty laws are enforced in china 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What are the aesthetics of the makeup? "Aesthetic makeup" doesn't make sense.
That fact that people automatically assume something Chinese isn't cruelty free is so racist wtf
@LucyLivinYT

Yeah there's a lot of misinformation :/ Same as people assuming something manufactured in China is poor quality :/// Such problematic stereotypes people need to unpack and look at critically
@momark88

Well maybe it’s because cosmetics produced in china for Chinese market have to be tested.
@Battychick189
Жыл бұрын
I think that may be a bit of a reach. Not everything is racist. It's a common assumption that to sell makeup in mainland China, they test on animals. This assumption isn't meaning anything against the Chinese people as a whole, it's against the companies that participate in animal testing. If anything, the corporations need to be held more accountable, and that's a common fact anywhere that has big corporations.
@LucyLivinYT
Жыл бұрын
Historically I think it's been considered widespread fact that all cosmetics made/sold in China engage in animal testing - so I 100% see and understand how people maintain this opinion, as there's truth to it. But newer regulations (ethical elephant has a great infographic) have it a bit more situational - not every product manufactured in China has to undergo testing, it depends on different variables. I agree that the assumption itself is not racist, but from experience I do think sometimes that opinion can come packaged with other misinformation (eg Made in China = bad quality) or prejudiced beliefs. We hope that most people target their criticisms to companies and regulations, but sometimes it can be caught up with generalisations and negative stereotypes regarding Chinese people as well. I'm no expert on the subjects but I'm really glad to chat about it here with you all 💗
Omg now I want everything from this brand but the exchange rate to my currency makes me want to cry 🥲
