Call of the Hive turns you into a parasite when you die. It doesn't actively kill players.

When the lightning strikes it means that the parasites evolve you can sort of hear the differences between normal lightning and evolution lightning so you should be able to tell when they evolve in thunderstorms edit: the lightning strikes when primitive parasites evolve to their adapted form making them stronger. the have to have suffient kills or infect enough animals and creatures to evolve

Why not making a tunnel between the first fort and the safety bunker ? That could make it less dangerous for you to move around !

16:09 so that is not the server lagging or anything, that is an effect called "Fear", it's invisible, but you can read above your hotbar "You're panicking!". That effect is triggered by the presence of higher level parasites, in this case, the Adapted Yelloweye, and it's effect depends on the severity of the effect, preventing you from attacking, placing blocks, interacting with blocks, and lastly open your inventory, it also makes you take lots more fall damage.

Yellow eye? More like Legundo’s best friend :)

Sean’s vibes in this series remind me of Adair (from Not Even Bones idk) but he really gives off the feeling of a very chaotic neutral; like someone you’d ally with but never put down your guard around (looking back on it I think that’s how everyone in this sees him) ok I’m leaving this was just my thoughts :/

I was editing part of this and the Yellow Eye freaked me out several times

You should build a wall around the bunker of safety. True, it won't keep your best friend the yelloweye out, but it will protect you from the wandering bands of parasites that stumble upon your base and decide to check it out.

Yo. So. If anyone wants to add lore to this. Y’all are sprits teathered to this place. It slowly corrupts your souls, but it’s subtle. It starts by wanting to be closer to where your bodies may be (Forge and the crypt) or wanting to not be alone like how you died (Kim) or even how the nightmares never leave you be. That’s you. The sprit who never rests. You’re welcome I tried my hand at adding some extra stuff to help make this feel more immersive.

I don't Know if horror island is the hardest modpack. Have you played rlcraft? I am pretty sure that rlcraft is the hardest due to the fact that it changes your world spawn when you die unless you have set your spawn with sleeping.

You wouldn't know unless you play it for yourself. Some common creatures in this modpack can kill fully max enchanted diamond armour players with enchanted golden Apple boost... IN 4 HITS . The adaptive Yellow Eye ,reeker , the gigantic spider .

I played it for a while well over a year ago, while the parasites were strong at the time they weren’t too strong, if I did it now (with the new scape and run parasites update) I, sure it would be harder.
