Trying to get The 1965 Peterbilt Dump truck back from the dead and DRIVING!!!
Got the 75 Pete, and the 59 Mack go Run!! Now on to the the 65 Pete Dump truck!!
Last day working at Jim's.... Or is it??
Check out us saving a forgotten Skidder • Forgotten skidder pull...
NOW WE HAVE MERCH!!! countrylifewi.com/
Interesting, we went up to a mine and logging operation that has long since shut down to look at a 75 Peterbilt that has not run in 18 years. while there, we discover they have a 59 Mack B and a 65 Peterbilt dump truck that where abandoned after the Mine and logging operations shut down. There is no timeline but we were told the mining shut down in the Reagan ERA and the logging followed a few years later. So maybe as much as 30 plus years since these 59 Mack and the 65 Peterbilt were on the road.
My whole Idea is that a truck that was in running condition should probably start but what about motors that really should not run, can they still go...
What about after the rest of the truck is too far gone to save can it still be started??

The ending was absolutely priceless, I love it. It was nice seeing old Jim drive the truck, you could tell he was enjoying seeing that rig move under it's own power after many years. Great work as always, thanks for sharing!
Jim has got quite the property there lots of treasures hidden away. He would be a cool guy to be friends with
That is so cool to see Good old Jim climbing up there and working on HIS truck I wish I could be there what knowledge that fine old gentleman must have I’m 63 and still learning good bro and letting him take the lead a little was a fine example bro 👍👍💪
You have brought the kid out in Jim,he’s been waiting for someone to come take interest in his possession and actually do something other then look at them. You are his fountain of youth ,if only temporarily ☺️!
That was awesome watching ol Jim driving his ol truck again...and seeing him up there turning wrenches. Pretty cool you helping him. I still want the ol 359!!! Keep us up to date on the build.
Love gramps, looks like he knew what it was like driving an old truck. Great video
So good to see and hear the tipper running after so much water in her great job guys 👍🏻🚚💨💨🇬🇧
Seeing Jim up wrenchin took me back to watching my Grampa at 87 doing stuff 😊 and if you asked to do it for him 🤔 #*×+ off was all you'd hear funny funny .great to see the old boy still given ER!

"Amen" to that!! My dad, who passed away in his mid 90s in 2015.... Completely re-roofed the house (with shingles) we were raised in - a 3 story, 21 room Victorian style house with the typical multi - peaked roof, built between 1746 & 1747 - for the last time... by himself, when he was 82+ yrs old... very shortly after a left knee & hip socket replacement!). Like everything else... they "just don't build em like that, anymore"!!
I think Jim was as happy as you to get her moving on her own steam mate. Some noise of that two stroke man sounds sweet never tell it was full of water a few weeks back. Brilliant mate exelent old Truck.
That’s still cool with your wife and your voice over at the beginning of each video. You never expect it. Cool video. You got your hands full. Thank god for the captain.
Absolutely loved this video! Especially the last 20 seconds...PRICELESS😂🤣🍻🥃THANKS keep up this great content! A 57 year old retired DRIVER from Ohio!
Damn! Watching Jim wheel the old girl around is priceless!!
Man, I can't get enough of looking at these cool old work horses!
65 Peterbilt and it runs amazing. Wow!
Hope she gets all fixed up, love listening to her.
Hell yeah, running and driving again after having a few gallons of water in the crankcase... That engine is obviously damn near indestructible

And the KWs. Beautiful trucks, even all rusted to hell.
I really can't believe you got this one to run after draining all that water from inside the engine. I was sure this was not coming back from the dead. GREAT WORK!!!!
That is a sign of class.. A good deed is returned seven fold!! Peace!!
Charlie hire him he can shift the truck. This is what the mechanic who took me for a test drive in an old autocar roll off with a 5 and a 4 trans. Truck was a logging truck that was converted. Heaviest suspension I have ever seen on a truck. Loved that thing,!
Muchas gracias por mostrarme este hermoso camión. Como te dije anteriormente si yo fuese tu vecino estaría ayudándote en todos tus proyectos. Te saluda nuevamente el argentino viviendo en España.
That’s a beast of a rig! Looks to have been through hell and back and just keeps rolling!
This truck so cool. I love the way it looks.
Nice video...this railroad conductor loves the sound of old rigs. That safety inspection was done the year my ex wife was born😂😂😂😂 she was born 9-28-77
Loved that video, was great to see Jim getting stuck in with the spanner’s. Keep producing these great videos please.
What a cool old truck hope to see more of it.
When you do these old dead machines put a rag around an air blower and stick it in top of fuel tank about 3 lbs will push fuel through. Break line and bleed a few places. Love this old truck way cool I've got a 69 narrow nose restored and chromed out has 5x4 and cummins
It is nice to see an old guy having fun with a truck that had been sitting for a while. Shot I would missed all gears and the transmission would have been all worn out before I even got to the end of the driveway.
Lovely video :) It was great to see Jim behind the wheel of his truck again and can clearly still handle that old rig no trouble. Greetings from the UK
Great job getting them old girls to start and drive. What a awesome property
And Now imagine driving this almost 100mph like in Duel movie 😅😅Like this truck so much
I knew she would run and she purrs!! that is one cool looking old truck!!!
You're nice to see you back out when your videos sir

Love the truck, very envious... Well done...!
I gotta say, Jim is just an awesome guy!
Looks like the "Duell" truck 😊
What a awesome Beast! Love to drive it. I have a 38 dodge pick-up. Very different driving the old ones.
Good job with the pete .and for helping that guy out .
Bro stopping to help that old boy was freekimg awesome my younger brother Gerald nick named ( Vergil because we always told him he was adopted only teasing him because he was always so giving and god I miss him ) but always stopped to help no matter what crap or good time we were in but we frickin stopped!!! He died this year from a fall of 2 stories cleaning solar panels so my heart just jumped out of my chest when I seen that I just had to say go Verg 🙏🙏🙏💪
Idk about anyone else, but I'd love to see a video of you going to explore the top of the mountain with him, getting his commentary on what he did back in the day and the equipment he used
Deve ser uma sensação muito boa conseguir reviver um veículo desse, depois de tantos anos parado. É uma viagem no tempo. Parabéns!!👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷

Hey man, Hank told me to check out your channel, I freaking love these will it start videos, I can't believe you got that peterbuilt going. What's more, Jim is hard core climbing on that motor at his age, damn. I can't wait to see more of your videos, keep it up 👍🏻
Hey, now you are getting the hang of it. Now all we have to do is remove the bucket so you can learn to shift the Brownie and main at the same time. Good job.
Thats a super cool truck ...She is a keeper ... cool video and She run so fine .. Thanks Michell . Norway 😊😊👍
Awesome to see the ol' girl running and movin
It amazes me how many people will just let a good piece of equipment rot in a field rather than selling it to some one that needs it. 15 years ago, I tried to get a guy to sell a tractor that was sitting in his field. "No, don't want to sell that, gonna use it". 15 years later, it's still sitting there, rotting away in his field.

very nice dump truck !! Love it !! Congratulations
you posted this on my 50th birthday thanks for the present
You were EXTREMELY LUCKY to get a 318 Detroit powered truck that’s still got jakes on it….most of the old 71’s with Jakes had them pulled off back in the 90’s because every rich D-bag with a bus to RV conversion wanted Jakes on their 25,000lb bus that doesn’t even need them, and were willing to pay too dollar to get a set. A lot of Guys with these trucks sold the Jakes off them cheap back then because to many they were old, obsolete and too slow to keep up with modern traffic, and the mechanics who bought them then charged $5,000 plus to install a set of worn out 71-92a Jakes on those RV busses. That’s why nowadays if you’re one of us few nuts that actually work these old trucks you might as well buy a whole truck or engine with jakes on it because you’re never gonna find just a used set of Jake’s with the long fuel jumpers, buffer micro switch, tall valve covers and other parts you need for under $3,000.
The perfect Simi to practice with even though each one is different. Just remember can't take off from a dead stop at idle.
That will be nice fully restored it and put it to work and i bet that you will be make all you money back even more
Take the fuel pump loose off the blower drive and spin it with a drill to prime the rails and bleed air trapped in the primary system.
She runs great, considering she was standing for so long, and locked up.
Thanks for the video man that was good
I used to drive a dump truck all the time and what I discovered is if you race the engine that makes it easier to get into the gear that you want
tons of respect for Jim
cool to see Jim drive his own dump truck on his property where you guys located at thanks for sharing!
You guys gained my respect! I Subscribed 👍 Greetings from Holland 💖
The beginning and the ending!😂👍
...hey guys.. those two ( air tanks ) up on side of the cab are oil filter`s they call them 750 luberfiner just take the clamp loose on top and pull them out...
i think Jim would have had all the girls after him. good job on the truck ,and for being a "knight of the road " with the trailer guy . really enjoying these vids thanks.

I'd like to own one like that, sell off the dump bed put a fifth wheel on it and haul some freight. Gotta love the sound of those old 2 stroke Detroits.
only did some 9 speed an 7 here but would have loved to get this down too.im nutz, just loved driving
Aloha... awesome ..that truck is a year younger than me
Amazing that thing runs at all after all that water. Not enough revs between gears, gotta make them two strokes sing between gear or you’ll never get it
very nice job!

Real man activity right here, would love to be a part of this!
They don't build them like that anymore. You let one of these new ones today go down like that and you'll spending more time on a computer trying to get every little thing to run in the right sequence than working on the truck itself. I say we need to take a step back a bit and go back to these basics. Instead you got to have a surgeon come out and do precious surgery on em just to get them to start. Running and stopping they'll have to bring another doctor in and a final doctor to inspect it before they stitch everything up and stick em back on the road. These old machines you just take a hammer to and get it to bust right off. Good job guys. I'm not even going to lie, i'm trying to find me a daily driver at least from the late 70's or older. I might go 80 or 81 but something like an old Bronco or Blazer without all the bells and whistles. They can take all that wiring and computer crap and throw it in the trash. In the end if the grid were to go down these old machines will be the only things left on the road because an emp or any other kind of electronic burst would fry every wire in these new pieces of crap.
Too freakin funny!!!! Good job!!!
Such a cool story, had to sub !
Sweet ol rig
Good job! I've done this with a couple cab over Pete. Tough getting the cab raised before and work could get done.
shocked that you even got it to turn over, after having that much water in the bottom end.
Cool truck would be nice restored
