YES that blush video was game-changing for me-especially blending out on your hand first 🤯 but I totally am with you on “losing your swing.” I think we just get used to doing our makeup the same way, but lately I’ve loved trying out small changes. I recently saw some videos that inspired me to change my blush placement, and I’m into it-unsure if it actually looks better or if my eyes just like seeing something different 😂

Oh yes! I was stuck in 2016 makeup for a while! I think part of it is because more was more back then, and I actually enjoyed sitting down and doing a full face. 😅 I'm sure it looks great! Since this video, I saw Lisa Eldridge do a blush look straight across the cheeks and I loved it on myself! I think it worked well on my longer face.

I think this looks great! I've also been trying to sort out my signature look lately. Like I haven't found a good equilibrium post-pandemic, because I mostly work from home. Currently, I use do a lot of Jones Road Beauty products (Miracle Balm in Au Natural as a foundation, The Face Pencil in Shade 1 or 2 as a concealer, and then maybe another MB in Pinched Cheeks or Flushed as a blush), but my lip and eye makeup isn't cooperating. None of the sticks or shadows I own appeal to me because I have such a hard time matching the color or sheen to the rest of my daily look, even if I love them on their own. So right now it looks either too little or too much compared to the rest of my face 🙃 Also, I discovered that a side part was the only way to deal with my horrendous cowlick when I was in 8th grade, and after 20 years, my hair simply refuses to do anything else 😂 No matter that my forehead demands bangs and that I'd like to try some styles with a middle part, the hair won't allow it!!

I totally know what you mean about one part looking more or less made up than another part! One suggestion: apply lipstick like normal, then blot the heck out of it. I usually do this by channeling my inner middle schooler and kissing my own hand 😂 usually once is enough to make the lip look more “natural” or worn in. The other method I’ve used is taking a small, dense brush and blending out the edges, kind of like that k-beauty look, but this method takes a little more time than just blotting on the back of your hand.

I've been wanting to give the Miracle Balmn another go! When I tried it, I got a shade way too dark (thinking it would be like a bronzer), and it looked muddy on me. I get that! Years ago my sister and I were discussing a "5 minute face," I told her I didn't have one. I'm either doing the full thing or just skincare and lip gloss because I look weird in the middle. 🤣 Now I've noticed that a shadow in a sheen formula, close to my lid color (or some cream bronzer), seems to work. But I have to emphasize my eyes in some way or I look odd. So I'll do a barely there shadow on my upper and lower lash line. 🤣🤣 I love bangs! I always want to get them but end up with curtain bangs because it feels safer. One thing I did notice with my side part, that's where all the grays are hiding! I didn't realize I had so many until the side part. 😀

I love the look! I don’t want to say you look younger because we’re done normalizing youth as the standard of beauty 🫰🫰 but the colors really enhance your beauty and you just look fresh and breezy!!

Thank you! Yes! But I get what you mean. I associate that type of look with youthfulness as well. Glowy, fresh and light. I think because most young girls I know don't wear a lot of makeup and are still in their oily skin phase so they're always shiny, but still fresh looking. 🤣
