ABOUT 'HIDDEN AWAY':
The film follows Rafa and Ibrahim, two teenage boys that befriend each other. Ibrahim is a Moroccan immigrant who does not want to return home. Lost and desperate in the streets of Bilbao, he meets Rafa. Rafa is a typical Spanish middle-class boy that is having problems with his friends and pressures around his sexuality. Once they meet each other, they become inseparable. Rueda captures their friendship as they navigate through Ibra’s deportation, racism and their identities.

🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🟤⚪️ I love that this wasn't your typical boy meets boy movie.Their true friendship blossom into something special. Gullies waa such a good friend.. Not understanding but willing to help his friend and do whatever! 😢😢 I watched the ending 5 times...such innocent love. Willing to go and do anything just to be wth someone. Inbra didn't leave until he showed his love.... sucks he had to go. I wish they had a part 2 when they were older and they could be together ❤️🎉❤
Ibrahim went in cause he wants to kiss Rafa but is scared. What a passionate moment in their friendship/connection 👍🏼😀❤️
Such a tender loving scene. Realistic yet hopeful.
Does it have a happy ending? It matters to me because I'm tired of stories ending tragically or unpleasantly. 😢

No it doesn't have a happy ending but not a bad or traumatic one either. They do get to say a final goodbye to each other and have something to remember them by before he has to leave.

i so wish they would make up film of their trying to reconnect---successfully. i would hope. This is such a lovely, low-key film and the actors are superb. And Rafa's best friend is such a sweet heat-he clearly loves Rafa.
