What an incredible day of fishing that turned out to be! The Island was so crowded I almost didn't fish at all, but I'm glad I forced it and found a spot to put it together!

On soft sand they definitely aren't as good as the balloon wheels. But if you can get on the packed sand quickly they're fine, which most of my spots are a short distance from the end of the path to the packed sand
those arent whiting, southern kingfish they are, as yoda says

Southern kingfish ARE whiting. They are one of three species of kingfish that we commonly get on the southern Atlantic Coast that are all referred to as whiting.
