Trying to Capture A Fish Hooked Underwater...

Спорт

Welcome back to another episode of my fly fishing journey.
Date of Episode - 20th June 2024
Time - 1900 - 2100
Weather conditions: Good! :)
Chest cam - 4k
Underwater cam - 2k
Rear Phone Cam - Ultra HD (4k)
I am using this session to not only catch fish but to try to capture some underwater footage of a hooked fish. But first, I have to catch one which hasn't been the easiest of tasks in previous outings. I wasn't sure where to place the camera so I made a prediction as to where the fish may take me during the fight.
After a successful session but a failed video on my last outing I was keen to make a better video this time around. This will be the format for my future videos too (providing its not raining).
I noticed I occasionally let the line slack with my left also I need to set the line tight a little quicker on casting too. This is something that I will work on correcting! I caught a good handful of fish in this short session. The last fish may have been a small Sea Trout. What do you think?
I was very surprised to have captured what I did. In future episodes I will also try to capture more underwater footage where I can.
I hope you enjoy this video and the third rear camera. I tried to create a slightly different video by using three cameras to give you a better experiance. Please feel free to leave a comment to let me know if you like my underwater action, Give the video a thumbs up, and a share. Furthermore, please consider subscribing if you would like to see more of my future content.
Thank you very much for watching.
Take care!

Some nice fishing there mate! I'm sure there were a few Sea Trout looking at those colours. What lines setup is on Nath's Nymph Rod? And What knot do you use to present the two nymphs, or is it wet fly to nymph? I am completely having no luck on the fly on the river. But had a few trout parr on bait the other day. Good to see after pollution we have had recently.

Thanks bud! Yes I thought the last fish was definitely more sea Trout looking with it being more silver, dotty and off colour fins. I only have his rod. On my reel is 8lb mono to a tippet ring with a fluro tippet at 4lb and a water knot to attach the dropper 👍🏼

@@laketrotterfishing Nice one bro, wasnt sure if you just had a real long leader or if you had a streamline sinking line. Might have to give it a go with one of my light lure rods and just use one my reels with mono on it. That deffo looked like a Sea Trout with the colours, as I was watching your video Charlie from Rapala put some pics up of ST he has been having. When I compared them both they looked very similar! Was down the river yesterday two more parr on further up by the Oasis and then a larger one down on the pool where you had the Otter on camera. I actually had an Otter come up from my feet the other day, that was pretty cool! Have you noticed there isnt as many Minnow as usual?
