You’re the most skilled tugboat captain I’ve ever seen. That footage through the city was ace

This has to be a euphemism.
So many reviewer says about how good the dinghy is, you are the first one who say the original is too small and uncomfortable which is true to people with larger feet. Impressive!

Dinghy is definitely a great minicruiser, but as minicruiser it isn't inherently comfortable haha

Dinghy rider here, it's a great board but a lot more fun in a dense urban environment than it is in a straight line. I've done 10-mile rides on bike trails on mine and had a good time though I can cover that distance a bit more comfortably and faster on my bigger setups. On the other hand those larger setups are nowhere as nimble as the dinghy is in tight quarters. I'll skate around the place I work at and it's mad fun to rip around corners on it. Anything that small will be less comfortable to stand on than something bigger would be but that's just the nature of the form factor. I'd say that if you are considering a Dinghy it's definitely worth having one in your quiver.
Great review and nice footage. Really good job. Subscribed!!!
awesome footage my guy and love your wheel comparison vid, I also rock the kegel now.
Man my feet and ankles fatigue so fast on a dinghy. I’ll have to look into a tugboat! Excited for the new channel!

Lots of very cool footage in this video. Those downhill bike paths are sick. I feel like gslides would be really fun for this setup.

Highly underrated bro!!!!! And skilled
That is one helluva initial review. This should be the baseline for other channels when they do an initial thoughts. Appreciate the thoroughness. I have to try that trick of inverting the roadside bushing to improve turning. I'm new to this and never heard of that.
@LongboardingExplained

Much appreciated! And it's just inverting the roadside washer not the whole bushign! should make it a tiny bit more lively :)

I skated street and ditches with a little down hill in the 80's and early 90's , I've been watching some long board and down hill videos , It's a whole nother world , all sorts of different bushing and riser arrangements , tiny trucks ,big wheels , reverse king pins , 43 degree trucks on the back , 50 degree on the front . I want to buy a new board but I'm so confused. Also I'm old and lost my balance especially pushing can't afford to fall down .hurts to much. Anyway I just want to roll around a bit and hopefully carve some parks , never had the opportunity as a kid , looks like fun

Ripper review coming in a few weeks!
Another Definitive Review Man, Love it!! And really it makes me wonder about trucks not exclusively on Dinghy but probably like any other top-mounted boards out there. (Concerning Traditional Trucks)Do you think that having a setup the same concept as comet cruiser where it has angled risers, harder bushings at the back truck('cuz of dewedging) and softer in the front will make any Cruiser/ATV board ride more lively and fun while maintaining stability. Like that Tugboat by LY, will it be good if upgrading those trucks with 88a bushings at the back and 83 bushings on front(with cupwashers both board & roadside) and have the same 7° wedge and dewedge of truck and upgrading the pivot cups like riptide as an example? It might be too much to ask about this but I hope to get some feedback from you Man.
@LongboardingExplained

I'd say it's worth wedging and dwedging! It's hard to get bushing that fit in the Bear TKPs perfectly. But I've heard thunder bushings are a perfect fit. You can sand some bushing and make them fit will though. Let me know how it goes and what works for you, interested in your experience

Dude, you do some rallying out there!
for a beginner who is fearful of wheels locking and falling off board forward, do you recommend tugboat or pranayama?
Man, you slide so effortlessly at all speeds. I can't do any of that.

If I change RKP trucks instead of using TKP trucks on my Tugboat, will it turn better and more stable in this case?

Personally I love my globe Blazer for cruising how about you have you ever tried it? 🤔
Hey abuga I had a quick question and know that you are the best KZreadr to ask hands down because of how honest you are. I have a dinghy and a few other cruisers but I really want a longboard to cruise longer distances. I want something comfortable and easy to push and I’m stuck between the drop cat 38 and the battle axe. I know there both similar boards but still very different. I was wondering what your opinion on them head to head and which one you would recommend. Cheers and fucking shred on

I'd get something from Panrtheon if you can afford it, or from DB longbaords if you're on a tight budget. The Drop Cat is awesome but nto what I'd recommend if cruisng longer distances is a big focus for you.

@@LongboardingExplained thanks for the reply. I’m in college balling on a budget so to speak lmao and I’ve been looking into dbs because of their prices. I’ve seen you review one as well on your website. Which DBs do you recommend the most?

@@LongboardingExplained also I don’t see me going over 5 miles or so in a session so I guess not really long distance. I just want something still agile but able to handle more than my dinghy due to the broken old terrain and hills

@@Draxzy the DB minicooper, tsunami, Sashimi, and bear are good options. Idk how agile they'd be, but they should be comfortable.

On my other channel (downhill254) I have some awesome content that should help you get started. Tips for how to balance, where to put your weight, how tos top etc.! Check it out
