I hope you read this, but the mosterd buttle is a squeeze buttle with a nozzle, but I saw you openend it at the opening of the bottle by rotating the lid. You can you open it at the transparent part of the lid by pulling it down, this way it is easier to get the mosterd out. Also the 'peppernuts' or in Dutch 'pepernoten' are actuallt 'spicednuts' or 'kruidnoten' in Dutch. The original cookies are very different, more chewy and had a more aniseseed forwards taste. But A LOT of people in the Netherlands call kruidnoten pepernoten, because the original pepernoten are quite old fashioned and not very popular anymore.
If Satoshi really, really loves a food, or really, really dislikes it he will giggle. Every time. I love it. Keep up with the great videos, you guys are awesome. Hugs and kisses to Justin too.

@@blacklightredlight2945 It's pretty normal, no? I make lots of sounds when I'm trying new things. It's just a way to process what you're tasting. Edit: Oh, and it should be noted that this could perhaps be contributed to a cultural difference as well. In Japan, it'd be considered rude to flatout say "This is gross, I don't like it." so, in some cases, Satoshi responds by smiling a lot and laughing. He's trying to be polite.
Satoshi cracks me up with his reactions lmao
Now I see why you guys don't usually give Justin a taste on camera haha. That taste of waffle got him so excited. How cute!
Poor Justin! His eyes just say “I’m drooling”!!! 🤤 Hi, guys, my name is Yana and I love watching your videos.
So fun to see you try Dutch snacks again! I chuckled when you mentioned Dutch cuisine as I always feel like our ‘cuisine’ falls short compared to other countries in general. Great video!

dutch cuisine is plain and simple but very good comfortfood. stamppot is ook weer helemaal terug. gemakkelijk, lekker en goedkoop
I love how satoshi tries so hard to explain in english! Does he ever just need to tell you in japanese if he doesn't know in English? His English skills are improving so much! Good job satoshi! Sending you love shinichi and satoshi!
Hey, I'm from the Netherlands and I would put ice cream between those waffles because they're indeed kind of plain on their own.

@@dykam you have those as well but these are also served more with ice cream then eaten as is. at least everyone I showed this says that it is not something they would eat as it is and those are all living in the netherlands. I'm not saying no one eats it as a waffel but at least with my family and friends it's not. I've ony got these in like deluxe sundays.

Always lots of fun to see people from an other country trying our food. Looks like they send you a kind of winter box. The soup, peppernuts and lowlander beer are winterfoods. The soup normale is served with a rookworst. And is normal even ticker, your spoon have to stand right up in it than its the right wat served Agains lots of fun watching your video 😊😊
Soups like Snert, we actually call "Meal soups". Because basically it's a whole meal in soup form. We also do this with a bunch of other soups - but Snert is IMHO the best. Especially if you make it yourself from basic ingredients. The unox or any prefab packages or cans get nowhere close to how good a homemade Snert soup is. Man, now I want some Snert :D
Hey guys! We are very happy you enjoyed our food! Happy holidays! Greetings Johanna and Yves :) ps. The Unox mustard bottle has a squeeze cap :D
Justin is so determined to get a bite of food that he's trying to make himself tall. xD
Never been so early! Im from Kansas in the US and have never been out of the country. I plan on sending you guys a box eventually!

Travel the world! You won’t regret it. (Post covid).
In NL nobody eats coated peppernuts. They're best eaten plain. And those waffles are eaten with ice cream in between two. But hey, who cares! As long as you like it! Greetings and love from the Netherlands!
Favorite tasting video so far.
The sultana stuff with the fruity flavor (berries), isn't actually filled with jam, but with raisins. I like you try dutch snacks!
Hey guy's good to see snacks and treat's Dutch enjoy your guy's
I love snacking on a Dutch classic called Daelman Stroopwafels Stroopwafels soft, toasted waffles filled with caramel, cinnamon and real bourbon vanilla Rest a Stroopwafel on top of a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea for about 1 minute, and enjoy the sweet aroma as it transforms into a warm and melty caramel treat. This is the traditional way of enjoying a Stroopwafel in Holland.
We had lots of these for Sinterklaas. This is not Christmas but before Christmas. Sinterklaas is a feast for children. We are munching a way through a box of Japanese Umaibo. We like the one that tastes like apple pie. I think we are addicted to Umaibo. Merry Christmas to you two and Justin.
You got the wrong sausages in the pea soup. The sausages are smoked. We eat it with bread too. You can eat the sausages on bread with mustard. Our mustards are much thicker and don’t come out of a bottle. You have a snack sauce based on mustard. Sultana are for in between meals; just a snack for when your hungry but diner is hours away. The wafel is used the same.
Love you guys such a lovely channel and couple! Love from England UK
Yes, you can eat them cold, those sausages. You can eat an orange hot as well... doesn't mean you should do it. Knakworsten (literally "snap sausages") are eaten warmed through.
The pup! OMG so cute. These two are so great. I am not into these kind of videos but these guys make it so funny and just charming!
yeah we eat that soup with buttered bread we dip into it too, erwten soep aka snert usually goes with pork meat in it.. and you can put chilipeppers in it if you want..
Thanks to Joanne and Yves for sending the snacks. The galette is normally serve with icecream. The word "hofleverancier" doesn't mean they deliver to the royal family. Since 1987 a company that exsist for 100 years can become a "hofleverancier". Thanks for sharing.
You guys are so qute, greetings from Germany
The regular galettes are the subtle wafers you eat with tea or coffee and the butter wafers (galettes fines au beurre) are the sweet, buttery and crispy ones you eat on more special occasions cause they are so good you can eat the entire box and then feel guilty haha.
The Galette waffles are from The AlbertHeijn if you were still wondering.
The store is Albert Heijn.
It's always so much fun to see you discover tastes that I know and then also tastes that I don't know even though the products are from my country! My personal favourite of the products you tested here is the broodje knak sauce... It brings back good memories of hotdog day I the cafeteria at my previous workplace. So good and I normally don't even like hotdogs!
Blanche dael (white valley) it's french and old dutch mixed, that's the name of the brand..
I think mayonnaise is still the most popular choice with fries and fried potatoes. Awwwww your little doggie loves the cookie so much. Soooooo adorable 😍 💖 💕
3:02 love the energy at made me happy
You guys are super amazing and I love these foreign food reviews, I cannot wait to watch them when they come out!! Justin is super cute and I can see how much you love him.. I do too!!
10:39 Justin staring at the waffle biscuit hoping he’ll get a bite😂🥰😂
That mustard with large baked pretzels!
As a dutch person this is amazingly amusing 😊
Hahaha, the cute little dog! 😂 I can see it trying to eat just the delicious odour of all the foods, it looks so jealous! 🤤
Sinterklaas isn't Dutch Christmas, we also celebrate christmas. Sinterklaas is on 6 december and christmas is on the 24th and 25th.
The supermarket is called Albert Heijn :)
Wrong sausages for the pea soup. You need Rookworst, smoked sausage. You need brown bread too. The soup has to be hot. You can find the original recipe on internet. Winter soups are thick. The sausages have to be hot too. You can put them on bread. Sultanas aren’t healthy but they taste good as a snack.
Haha Sinichi....”explain” Haha same here!
thank you for the food haul Joanna! the pea soup looked so yummy, poor Satoshi-san with the cinnamon hah
How cool! The tea is from my hometown. You should visit maastricht next time your in the netherlands. Also very close to belgium and Germany. So lots to do and taste

So interesting! It is always so fun watching you guys try things! You describe everything so well, it's like I get to taste all the delicious things you eat. As I was listening to you talk about the waffle, I thought perhaps you can actually add some anko paste on top? :D Textures should go well together! You could even make a sandwich?.. Haha!
Nice!! Missing the Netherlands currently so this is so nice to see!
i want to try the tea, I´m tea obsessed
Lowander! I need to try that.
Albert Hein, it's a supermarket chain, like Aldi, but more expensive...Ahold is the company..
I like how you said the soup was like a "meal", because that is the Dutch word for this kind of hearty soup: maaltijdsoep.
Yay Dutch food. Much love from Amsterdam! 🇳🇱
If you need the recipe for the 'Joppiesaus', just let me know. It's easy to make.

Hi from the Netherlands!
Yummy
The 'snert' isn't done unless you can keep a spoon up right in the bowl. And yes the soup is considered a meal by itself.
I like putting the waffles up the teacup and eat warm.
Wow so interesting I wish I could eat that all

Satochi seems so disturbed by the differences of food! :D If you guys are visiting Ghent in Belgium we can make you visit the best restaurants and the best snacks! We might have the best waffles in the world here! Shinishi is right, most of the sweets of japan are barely sweet, like mochi or anpan... Or even dango! We actually were pretty disturbed when we visited Japan that everything was so subtly sweeten!
This video made my day, thank you guys for the content
Vegetarische knakworst? Waanzin!
bos = forrest or Bush, vruchten = fruits , so probaly berries etc.
The person sending the package was a little wrong, “hofleverancier” doesn’t mean they are a supplier (leverancier) to the Dutch royal court (hof), it merely means they exist more than 100 year. It’s a common misunderstanding here, that they have to have delivered to our king. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_warrant_of_appointment#Netherlands

@@pepin8277 I’m still right. The only reason I’m linking Wikipedia, is because it’s easy to use, in multiple languages. Any of my links in Dutch would be useless here. I’m Dutch have been living here all my life and know this particular company very well. I know several other companies that are older than 100 year, and have the title “Hofleverancier” that never delivered to any king or queen. One even from my village and I asked them how it works, because I always thought it meant that they’re a (regular) royal supplier. And they explained it’s not like that.
you dont remember coming to the Netherlands thats to much weed and beer bro ;-) greetings from Leiden, Holland
Doggo really likes it
if i am correct the mustard is: mustard, honey, dille
Thanks for more great content! I love when you guys do international taste tests!
you should eat the waffle with ice cream
Joppie sauce, is actually a rather recent thing. I think 10 to 15 years ago or something like that I think it was Lays indeed, created a competition of sorts. They wanted to produce a new flavour, so they created a competition where everyone could enter, to create a "new" flavour. Joppie sauce (saus) won. Just a small edit to what you said, erwten soep aka snert, is nice when it is cold, but that means when it is cold outside, not the soup being cold. (Just to make sure, there is no misunderstanding) Also yours is not that thick, the best ones you should be able to cut with a knife. AH = Albert Heijn grocery store. Another edit. Sinterklaas is a nationallly celebrated kids party, not to be confused at all with Christmas. (Santa indeed derived from Sinterklaas, but that has to the with etymology. Not going into that here.) Peppernuts is a brand, not a product name !!!!!!!! It is the worst ever type of translation of the word Pepernoten. And what they completely forgot, is the actual product(s) are not even pepernoten but kruidnoten. So their ffing bad translation should read spicynuts. Being Dutch and a polyglot this buggers me more than I can even put into words. That company must exist of morons.

those sweet cookies go with coffee
that white coating might be yoghurt based
I bet Justin loves the smell of the vegetarian sausages
give the doggy a cookie!!!
It is per tradition in the Netherlands that if a ladel stands upright in the soup than it is thick enough for eating!
The Unox sauce (mustard) will go really well with kara age and katsu. or indeed the entire fried food department of a kombini. perhaps even with some oden
OMG I was watching the Pajama Party so I missed this live stream so now I'm watching it ! 😂😂😂
