when you took off the magnetic cover the it looked like you could do the victrix pro thingy where you swap the d-pad and joystick placements, is this actually true because im planning on practicing using my xbox controller until i have enough money for this and he xbox layout would help a lot!

If you want to play on both then the dual sense edge is best u can buy

@@mojojojo560 Personally, I definitely like it! I've used Xbox Elite Controller 1 and 2 before now, but everything feels pretty good with this controller. I like the customizations that the controller offers when it comes to binding and mapping keys which is a major plus for me. I think the side paddles are interesting but just need to find that sweet spot when it comes to controller binds!

I noticed that the inside paddles can be actuated from either side of the button so you could use two fingers for the paddles if you want.

Could you try and use your og binds

The alternate buttons that you showed are not buttons. They're covers. They're for when you don't want the buttons in the way and just want it to be flat. That's still dope and very considerate of what the customer wants but I'm just making it clear that they aren't swappable alternate buttons.

Was hyped about this controller but I'm close to returning it seems like ether the joystick or software cause the sticks to feel sloppy when aiming almost hard to make small adjustments imo gonna play with I cue a little more and see if it helps

If you played with dogshit digital deadzone controllers like victrix that might be why. Imo this controller has the most smooth natural feeling aim on a controller I've ever used. I play no deadzone linear in the software and on apex for reference.

I returned mine I can’t get use to the joystick as I am a Xbox controller user and the non offset thumb sticks were making me change my grip an relearn how to hold a controller again lol

@@rees3lo I feel u I've been playing on the ps4 stick setup for a longtime but I can pick up a Xbox controller with zero issues really only difference to me is your movement honestly prefer anything but a Xbox controller simply do to the input delay but hey we all have a preference maybe they'll eventually drop another stick layout

I tested it. The response time is identical wired vs wirelessly. Both avg 1.5ms non-overclock. Overclocl does not improve performed either. I have a dual sense edge too which i tested. It has an impressive 0.5ms response time 1800hz polling rate out of the box. I can’t honestly say I feel the difference between the two.

@@samh7805nope, you can use DS4Windows or DSX to remap the back paddles on the Edge.

the scroll wheel is good because now instead of clicking it twice to reset he can hold it down for a bit to instantly reset builds, not sure about 2 though, its probably so that he can use extra binds without mapping to already used binds on the controller.

I've had a reflex, really is an amazing controller. But the envision does look promising

if only you could swap it to be like xbox layout with the sticks id deffo get one

My only flaw so far is that you can't remap the "View"/"share" button to a paddle. I'm a warzone player and were all having major issues getting the Envision to work as advertised with keybinds like dropshot and dolphin dive. This seems to be more of an Activision issue than a Scuf issue.

They need to allow those 2 buttons to be rebound and they need to allow game pad button macros.

The scuf instinct has mouse click triggers and normal triggers and trigger stops

Can you tell us about input latency for it. So far that and it being out of stock is the only reason i'm thinking of not getting it. Apparently you can overclock it but it does nothing to it. And the latency is more that 1 ms. The ps5 still can be overclocked to 1ms and i think this is 2.5 or so. Does that really matter?

It is weird to me that no one has noticed, but this is just a Scuf Vantage 2; instead of PS4 and a volume slider. It is PC and has G buttons where the volume slider was. This controller has a lot of the same (non-software) features that the Vantage 2 had. Oddly enough, people hated the Vantage 2; but love this controller? Although yeah has mechanical buttons, etc. but it really is a re-skinned and updated Vantage 2. They should have just launched as "Scuf Vantage 3"; but I can see why they didn't do that. As that controller wouldn't sell.

i hope more controller comes out with side buttons

Lol my 3 years old Nacon revolution unlimited 2 has same customizable response curve. This controller joysticks are not hot swappable which is a deal breaker

It would be worth sending this controller off to a pro controller company to install Hall effect sticks. Make sure you go through a company that actually calibrates them properly tho.

Lol Hall effect is overhyped, all of them use shit quality at the moment, have worse centering performance and worse pulling rate than a standard controller, I’ve used my scuf for 4 plus years no drift

@@truek1ng7 not all of them are like that. Did you read the part in my comment that mentions “that actually calibrates”. The first batch were crappy, but they’ve gotten much better. Especially when use in conjunction with the calibration board. My mate has a controller with he sticks and they work flawlessly. So honestly dude you’re comment was unnecessary.

@@OPGrimmz idc dude, the only thing bound to break are the sticks. Out of everything it will be the sticks to go first. By the time the bumpers and the rest go the controller will be out of warranty. I’ll then send to my local controller company who initially installed the he sticks and get them to repair whatever is wrong since they repair scuf controllers (: Better than sending it out to the US and waiting a long time as I’m Australian.

i'm pretty sure the side buttons make you take your fingers off of the bumpers which makes these buttons useless. wonder how the bumpers are, cause hoping they're decent like dual sense and ps in general as opposed to xbox, including elites.

they don't, like I said they're positioned in a super good spot for that like you don't have to take your fingers off the bumpers but also can click the side buttons. Also, I'm not affiliated with scuf in any way so the "shilling" is a natural first look at a controller with high potential and listing off the features
