im getting my charms in tomorrow and then making a kiki and lala decoden case! im so excited but also nervous? lol. this vid helped me feel more comfortable with using silicone instead of the pre made stuff

your puffs def came out better then mine with this kit i bought the same kit except in purple and pink. it wasnt to bad for my first case but i thought it would be easy since im a cake decorator in real life! lol next case i will def be using piping bags since i already know how to use those well. the amazon tubes were hard to use! ur came out really cute!!!

I think it looks super cute! 😍 I've tried several different types of deco cream and the main reason I prefer silicone is because deco cream can take up to 1mnth to completely dry 😱🤯

Omygosh!! Yeah this one's taking a while and it's dry to the touch now but you can tell the inside is still wet 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm so glad you did a video on this! I checked those out on Amazon and the reviews scared me off especially with the size. Seems you had enough but you never know, ya know? I have never done a decoden case but I've been researching for over a month. I finally bought some silicone and piping tip/bag. I was thinking I should practice on like a container top or something but I'm worried the piping tip will ruin or ill some how manage to dry out the silicone bottle lol idk idk. I started polymer clay recently which was the biggest motivation for me to want to try decoden! I can make my own lil charms and pieces for it. So, I just came across your channel and like others have said you are so helpful, I've learned more in 2 of your videos than I have in most of what I've watched so far. THANK YOU!

Ahh thank you so much! My next video is more tutorial based too for beginners! I haven't edited it yet tho so idk how helpful it'll be yet haha but yeah the Amazon stuff would for sure cover a smaller phone case but maybe not like a 13pro Max or something. You could practice with actual frosting! It's a little easier than silicone in my opinion but that way you could even scoop it up off the plate and pipe it again just to practice 😂

I tried with these decoden amazon kits and after it dried the charms started falling, and cracking. Horrible experience. I'm relieved to learn I was not the problem 😂 haha

Oh no.... it does dry pretty stiff and I could see charms falling off if they weren't "buried" in the whip deep enough. It's def not that easy to work with other than the easy setup and how it's made for you . I still liked the look of it tho for a change of pace

i started with these gosh how i hated them once i switched to silicone it became way more easier and prettier. uv done good for a first time

I tried these once. Full on took a month to dry 🤣🤣defo silicone is the way forward❤❤the pink dried to an awful dark colour when it eventually did dry. But as they’re not regulated like real silicone. No one knows what is in them chemically. Defo stick to real whip😉❤❤❤

this is a very informative video, thank you for this. i was wondering about the fumes from the silicone itself. i plan on doing decoden in my bedroom where i do sleep in, and im concerned about the smell that lingers. i see that you don't use a mask or anything, so is it safe?

I wonder if it's harder because it's in plastic versus the cake bag.

How do you remove silicone caulk from pipping tips?

Is the glue you use easy to remove after it dries? I noticed my glue become chewy and removes easily from the case

Nice! its more convenient since it comes with the tips and you don't need a piping bag or anything! It is just a little bit harder to work with but still super fun and I love how it came out

How to let it dry?

Hey i want to start doing decoden so much but im a bit scared if the silicome is toxic for me...what is your insight about that?

Definitely do it in a well ventilated area! I let the case dry away from me too though like once it's done it still smells so I try not to sit with it for long either

maybe it would be better if you put it in a piping bag

I bought some for my first time but I really did not liked it I'm going to created my own

Why not sand the case instead?
