Honestly I don't give a damn about history. Ask me anything related to science though. The education system is crap however I blame most people not knowing history more to the fact that most of us find history boring and would rather focus our learning on somethign else that would be more productive knowing.
@1827Beethoven

@@envixousenvixous5411 The fact that you don't find history interesting means you have failed to understand or grasp it's importance. And yes, your teachers should be ashamed for not inspiring it in you. History is one of the most important things you can learn. And if you love science, knowing your history is a no-brainer.
@envixousenvixous5411

@@1827Beethoven explain why you believe it’s the most important. Sure it helps so history doesn’t repeat itself and instill pride in your country I guess… but I have enough pride by serving my country without the need to be a history buff. It benefits my life in no way other than to prevent people judging me because for some reason people define intelligence by someone’s knowledge of history which is not accurate. Also, some of my favorite teachers were history teachers. They did not fail me. It's weird to think some people have different interests than your own isn't it?
@tkill1984

@@envixousenvixous5411 They said ONE of the most important, not the most. But you only like one aspect of learning so I'm not surprised you can't support your own argument. @Tia.H

@@envixousenvixous5411 You've pointed out that you don't need to be a history buff to be intelligent and it's true; many subjects make up ones intelligence and you don't need to know or be interested in the same subject to be intellectual, but it's important to know your basic history because, after all, many fields require it. You've said that you're interested in science. Which profession are you interested in when it comes to science? Or are you interested in science altogether - all scientific matter fascinates you? Scientists use history in their professions. Do you know when dinosaurs existed? What about their diet and environment? What about evolution? Where did humans come from? Were we created by God with Adam and Eve being the first human's on Earth (with Eve made for Adam from one of his ribs)? Were we crab-like creatures just appearing on Earth? Or, did we evolve from apes? This is all history. No, it's not focusing on dictators, the wars fought, you fought those wars, you overtook what country or the horrors that have taken place, as well as the good that has taken place, but it is focusing on history.
Fellow Westerners will hate me but Libya was better off under Gaddafi’s rule. It went from the 5th strongest economy in Africa to basically having zero. It’s barely even a state now. Not great but a better leader for Libya.

We don't consider Gaddafi evil as African's, he was pivotal to the creation of the African Union and had plans to grow it into a similar power to the EU. However as Africa is a much richer continent which the Europeans control much of the mining and oil this was frowned upon and he was villainized by the West. Hitlers favorite food was liver dumplings according to multiple sources, he wasn't nearly as vegetarian as people think, thats largely a myth based on his health requiring it due to stress and injuries after the 1944 assassination attempt.
