When I did music technology, years ago, the tutor asked us to write a tune using a minimum of 4 tracks. I misunderstood and used only 4 tracks (with voice changes in each track to get more voices). Turns out mine was the best tune and no one could believe I'd only used 4 tracks as they'd all used 5 times as many. Sometimes simple is better.

@@ohshino take some of you favorite music and dissect how they do their melodies. Most of modern musics do lots repetition. If you understand the theory of Basic Idea, and Tension and Release, you basically nailed ~50-75%ish of the composition. Next step is just listen and think about what sounds good (Thats intuitive) Last step, keep trying composing at least once a day even if the melody is bad. If you truly want to master the art of music, then you will have to compose as much horrible musics that your ears can handle. And for that you must keep composing.
This is epic dude. Really good stuff. Keep it uppppp

I watched watched this roughly around the time when I first learnt about the 4536 progression, and I have kept coming back to it. It's soo well composed! I am also an absolute sucker for rapid note changes. The fact that I also recognise a lot of techniques from a time (ages ago) when I messed with Famitracker and, more recently, Oscilloscope views of Video Game Soundtracks. Like percussion in the Triangle Channel and delayed echo/reverb using two channels. Although I am not deep into music theory at all. I'm thinking of recreating this if you don't mind.
