I'm watching this while eating ramen! I boil the Kimchi noodles, strain, and keep just a bit of the water. Then, I boil carrots, shallots, onions, and add the packets. I let it simmer, add in the noodles and add some shrimp as well as coriander! Yum!!

When I have instant ramen I can’t be bothered. I really just boil water in a kettle and pour it on the noodles and add the flavour packages. Everything else would defeat the purpose for me. Takes no time at all. When i have like 10 minutes I’d rather roast some veggies and add rice noodles or couscous and add my own herbs and spices.

See, I prefer mine al dente and not mushy, but it depends on my mood, what I add to it. If I want dry ramen, I add butter and only use half a packet of the soup packet. If I want it soup-like, I use the whole packet, no butter, but I add a raw egg cracked into the boiling water while the noodles are cooking.

I'm not a fan of Bragg's personally as it tastes a bit too much of vinegar, I go for traditional tamari as a gluten free option instead. Still has more bite to it than the mostly-wheat shoyu, but you get that soy flavor and the actual fermentation that really elevates it. I've been doing this for years with creamy PB, never tried with crunchy for some reason. I'll give it a go next time hubby gets crunchy. 😋

This is because of the bacteria present which eats away the lactose sugars. Gouda and real Swiss are also naturally lactose free (also very old, hard cheeses like 7+ years) 😃

Roast beef ramen with green onions (or dried chives) with sliced mushrooms and cream cheese for a mock-stroganoff. You can also add a little barbecue seasoning/smoked paprika and cayenne along with a little blue cheese if you have it for a play on black and blue steak/burger. You can do it with the packet in the cooking water for a lighter taste, or by cooking the noodles first and then add the packet to a smaller amount of cooking liquid after partially draining the noodles. 🍜

I like to make a garlic cilantro sauce to put in my ramen (must be cooked to al dente (about 2 minutes) , no more than a cup of water and the seasoning packet (for the broth). The sauce has (roughly) 4 bunches of cilantro, garlic paste or about 8 cloves of garlic, either 2 seeded jalapeños or about 10 good shakes of green Tabasco sauce, about 3 to 4 teaspoons of salt and then equal parts of lemon juice, white distilled vinegar and oil of your choice (personal preference is canola). I then blend in a Ninja blender until a vibrant but 1 color green (about 2 minutes).

For the 3rd dish - it was dry because in the video he took the ramen straight from the cooking water into the pan (so don't drain the ramen before adding it to the sauce).

I always show up late to the stream because I get off work about an hour into the stream. Whenever the stream ends, I start it over to watch the beginning and it’s hilarious to see how much the set changes from the chaos of Saf and Tyler. 🤣🤣

my instant ramen hack that surprises friends is adding miso (whether you have dried miso in a little packet or a tub of it in your fridge) to the broth. shin ramyun with miso (add flavoring packets to taste I usually use half of each). I also add soft boiled eggs, lots of soy sauce, spinach if there’s any in my fridge, steak sizzler cuts bc they’re super cheap and cook fast, and eel sauce which I make at home every couple of weeks since I finally nailed it

Actually the first time I bought Peanut Butter was primarily for using with ramen as a sauce add-in. Like, before I ever ate it on bread or anything. Usually I prefer my Ramen with loads of broth though, and of course some add-ins. An egg for certain, also some spinach or bok choy if I can. My love for Ramen in all forms leads me to try loads of hacks and receipies though! Always into new stuff.

As someone who has a Surinamese family, putting peanut butter in noodle soup or on noodles just looks normal to me. Pindasoep / Pinda Bravoe (Peanutsoup) is a very common Surinamese dish.

I eat my ramen half soupy, half a packet of seasoning with a little pool of water and a giant dollop of cashew butter, like a quarter to a third a cup, it thins out with the water to be a drier noodle dish and I eat it with chicken, shrimp or beef depending on what's available in my fridge or freezer

I love chicken ramen. I make mine by putting the noodle block in a bowl, sprinkle the seasoning on the block, then fill the bowl with water - and microwave it. I then let them sit & steam & absorb most of the water for about 20 minutes - It stays hot as long as it's covered with a plate & towel. I then add some cooked broccoli & carrots, maybe some mayo, but I don't add a lot of extras.

This was a fun one to watch. The dry one looked like the sauce had just over reduced, which is easily done, not Tyler's fault at all. If that ever happens, you can just add extra liquid (water in this case) to revitalize it and better coat the noodles. I would save some of the liquid you cooked the noodles in as using that will help the sauce and noodles combine better (like you do with italian cooking). Just add a tablespoon at a time though! Great job 🙂

For the peanut butter ramen: as an Indo (Euro-Indonesian) , if you add ketjap instead of soy it’s lower sodium and sweeter tasting. A little more peanut butter for a slightly thicker sauce. And you can add different kinds of hot sauces; for a more saté/peanut sauce flavour we use ketchup and chili sauce /sambal :)

I immediately went and made the peanut butter one while I watched the end of the video, added brown sugar to the sauce and it cut down on the salt factor very well, YUM 🤩 status update: this sauce is also delicious on rice (I may have made too much sauce)
