I do love how your make up turns out every time. But, I cannot for the life of me make doing my eyebrows and eye shadow before foundation work at all. Just looks kind of unfinished on me. I do my foundation, eyebase, concealer, and setting powder first. I view it as preparing the ‘’canvas’’ of my face to prep for applying all the colour products. Works for me.

I hate waterproof mascara because it’s such a pain to get off BUT I also hate mascara smudging and flaking throughout the day so I switched to Tubing mascaras and it’s been so amazing! Never flakes, never smudges, and comes off with water so easily! AND doesn’t weigh down my lashes! Can’t recommend tubing mascaras enough! Just as long as they’re true tubing mascaras!

I am a neutral undertone too and bought shade 5 in the hourglass tint. I do love it and think the colour is a pretty good match

Was looking at the Hourglass skin tint but I went for the Summer Fridays one and love it! Find the coverage great for a skin tint ..it even covers my hyperpigmentation if I just pat a tiny bit more on in those areas. The Nars blush and lip products look beautiful! I have been eying up the Afterglow lipstick for a while..you've now sold it to me! x

Isn't it wonderful when new products turn out to be fantastic products - not a penny wasted 😊 I know what you mean about the lack of neutral shades in the HG skin tint. I plumped for shade 7, it's definitely slightly too deep but it seemed the best undertone for my olive skin. Like you, I would've loved to have gotten a neutral in light medium. Hahaha, I really don't like the congealed, skanky gathering of lippy in the inner lip area - it's just horrible 😂😂😂 Good luck with all things related to your new and exciting beauty room. Ooohh getting that Nars lip product!!! Just what I was looking for! Also going to try the blush as well. Don’t think you should bother with another shade of the skin tint, just seems a bit overpriced for what it is!

I havw been using the Nars lipstick in Dolce vita for a while now and am impressed with it, love its hydation and the colour is my favorite lipstick now. I've had the afterglow lip balm in wicked ways and loved it so much I decided to bite the bullet and buy the lipstick and I'm loving both, I went mad for me and bought it in Dolce vita and Do me baby. I usualy just use lippies from beauty boxes and Ive never bought a lpistick for ages but... I am going grey but I'm still more pepper than salt, I've had my hair natural for about a year now and have just decided I don't realy like it so will be getting it blonde again while much more salt comes through, I wouldn't mind but my sister was a beautiful white long before her 50th and I'm now 66 and still waiting. Loved the videotbh there isn't one I have'nt, see you in the next one xxx

😮mac stack knocked out? Oh my! Well now I will have to try the Huda one. I’ve loved MAC stack since you recommended it sooo.

The milk makeup brow gel I have and it was amazing at first but after two weeks for me it started making white flakes for me :/ I do have dark brows though so maybe if it’s blonde it won’t be as obvious . It started off strong though!!!

Yeah, waterproof mascara is the only type that holds my curls up too.

I think lipsticks that create a line around the lips after awhile is because people getting lip fillers not being able to move their lips in a normal manner, the lips are bigger with less feeling in them, and less natural movements, so the lipstick gathers in a line all around the inner parts of the lip. Usually when I see or hear about that happening to people, they have their lips filled

Im often your shade twin in foundations and i got the hourglasss on in shade 3 and i found that one worked really well as a shade match. Might be worth seeing if you could get a tester in shade 3 and see if you can make it work

I think the darker bit of your hair warms your face a little, which might be why you got the compliments 😊 Id love to see you do a little bolder eye - maybe a different colour, smoky eye 👍🏼

It's so frustrating when you can't find neutral undertones in a foundation! It matters a lot to me and it makes me not want to even try the product. I loved that blush on you though, it built up so nice and looked so natural.

Have you tried Byredo's sticks?

I'm super pale and went with shade 1 because even though 3 (neutral) is the right undertone, when swatched on my wrist and chin it looked a bit too dark. I wish they had a more pale neutral undertone shade... but at least the cool shade isn't too cool.

Hi Gemma. Since your curled lashes droop after applying the Huda Wow, can you use a light coat of waterproof mascara, followed by one coat of Wow? Just a thought.

I don’t put foundation under my eyes, so I could do my colour corrector and concealer before or after foundation. For redness on the face, apply green colour corrector before foundation. X

I love Natasha Denona's palettes but the yellow shades scream EEK at me. I'm pale so yellow is just a no for me! This is one I'll be dodging

She has several videos covering her skin care regimen. I’ve based mine on her recommendations, and it really works for me. (I have dry skin.) The biggest take-away is argeriline from The Ordinary. It has erased my fine lines and small wrinkles to about 98%. I am very impressed.

Hey Gem Loving the look, will be differently getting the nars, lips and blush, and thank you for introducing the nyx eyebrow products, it’s taken me a life time to find the products that work for me and finding the right shade, I’m a over plucked 60yr old and not a totally lover of the great big brows look ,but they are not so sparse anymore thanks to you. Could you please let me know how to keep tinted or foundation on my nose, I know somebody message me before but I can’t find it. I’m not a full coverage girl but nothing stays just makes my pores look enormous, any suggestions great fully received

the mascara reminds me so much to a rival de loop one we have in Germany. I try to send you a pic tomorrow. I love that and it i s so effordable. I am sooooo into the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks lately. Have you tried them? Can't remember seeing them in a video.

It’s not long wearing. I’d say about 6-8 hours the same as other tinted moisturisers x

I love the Huda Beauty mascara. However, I do not like the Hourglass skin tint. It's much too sheer for me. I have quarter size sun damage spots on each cheek so I need something that will cover them at least half way like the Too Faced Healthy Glow skin tint SPF 30. I'm loving it. I don't believe I've seen anyone review it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Gemma!!!! I've been waiting for my Top 5 girls on KZread to review the Hourglass Tint, and you are THE FIRST!!! I actually got a sample of 6 & 7 (I wear 7.5 in the Ambient foundation). Did that Tint oxidize on you? Didn't seem so dark on you at first. Really looking forward to your final thoughts!!! Honestly, they were lacking on 'neutral' shades in general. I'd love to know how it held up all day.

7.5 in the Ambient soft glow recommended shade 8 in the tint for me...I haven't tried it though.... been back and forth on being it so many times

@@cabrooker Their shade range is messing with me with these tints. Have you seen the shades in person?? The 7.5 Ambient Soft Glow is a Light Medium Neutral....the 8 tint is a medium cool tone. I am a true neutral, would lean more warm than cool. I did swatch my hand (had my make up on and didn't want to mess it up)...Oh, and I was wrong, I have shades 6 & 7 , which are crazy different when applied to wrist. At first just got the 7 and since it seemed dark I asked for the 6 as well. (maybe I should have gotten the 8) I haven't tried my samples yet as I want to try them when I'm out and about in the Texas heat. I will probably give them a try next week. Honestly, I've been on the fence about buying this just because of the shade range. I generally love everything made by Hourglass though. Are you 7.5 in the Ambient Soft Glow as well? If so, will be curious to find out which shade works best for you.

When it comes to skin tints I truly do not understand why people spend so very much money on them when you can mix your favorite foundation with your favorite moisterizer and there you have a beautiful skin tint? I would love your opinion on this.

That doesn’t always work well. It depends on the base of the foundation and the formulation of the moisturiser. Some moisturisers can split certain foundations. X

I still think trying to make your own, as some certainly would work and just sticking with the ones that work well. instead of buying many skin tints. Thanks for the info. ❤

I have more foundations, skin tint, etc. than I care to admit. However, I find that what they call neutral in one company is very yellow. What they cool cool in another company seems to be more neutral. I don’t know how they’re picking the names and the designations for these products but it’s almost impossible to online find the right color let alone spending a half an hour in a store, trying to find the right color and undertone. We’re very fortunate here in the states that our Sephora’s will give you samples. I don’t know if the Sephora that have opened in the UK do that. But this has been a godsend. I can’t tell you how many foundations I’ve tried based on KZreadrs reviews that I was interested in that when sampling them, I’ve said, thank God I didn’t plop my money down for them. PS your lips are looking very full these days. Did you get some filler and if you did what?💋
