Trying Foods KOREAN EMPERORS Ate! Korean ROYAL Cuisine Food Review
I love the historical places in Korea and 3 years ago I did a video eating what emperors ate back in the old times. And in this video, I found a beautiful royal cuisine restaurant that might just even be better.

@Pilot16H Firstly you need to go read a definition of globalism. Secondly a lot of what you said about school is just false. I'm 20 so recently finished school and I can tell you our history was taught in a positive light and communism was most definitely taught as bad

Korean emperors (when they weren't being complete idiots and slacking) had a tendency to be massively overworked due to the governmental system they used. They needed all the help they could get.

Mike: today im finishing every drop of food on my plate Everyone else: you always do that
as with many traditional food cultures, the food was used for medicinal purposes as well. the different colors/flavors all coincide with a part of the body they were believed to regulate the health of, which is why traditional korean dishes put such an emphasis on including as many colors and flavors as possible.
@thegamingruler1996
3 жыл бұрын
they were definitely correct in assuming different colors of vegetables and flavors are beneficial to the body, that's why in the modern day the nutritionist tells you to eat colorful vegetables and fruits. It's the easiest way to have a balanced diet. And as you said many cultures knew this way before modern medicine did.
I love this channel because of what mikey said "preserving food heritage is so important" it's exactly why I watch so I can learn about all the other foods around the world❣
I used to work in that restaurant! The owner and managers are truly amazing and the food is just sooooo delicious!! so happy to see that people still visit the restaurant during this covid time🥺 really miss working there...

Absolutely beautiful cuisine! Thank you for bringing attention to food that’s dwindling and passing along the history behind it. It’s so important to pass things like this along through generations to come. 😊 hope I can travel to Korea one day.

Do Seoul first. It's easy to navigate, much cheaper, there is a lot of help for foreigners, and english friendly. Tokyo is very difficult to navigate, very expensive, not english friendly, and knowing a local is almost a requirement to get anything done.

Yes. As you say, Some ingredients inside Bossam Kimchi are same to Bo Kimchi served in the palace. But shape, kinds of ingredient, cooking method and taste of intensity are different. Most of people even Korean think they are same Kimchi. In Korea there are hundreds kind of different Kimchi. Really appreciate your comments and interests for Korean Royal Cuisine.

Thank you for this amazing video! I loved this Korean series so much! Just wanted to explain a little bit about Korean Rice Cake is called "Tteok" (떡) and they are over 300 different kinds, shapes, and flavors using lots of local ingredients by region added to the rice flour base. They use fruits and vegetables, like pumpkins, persimmons, potatoes. different kinds of beans, grains, seeds, nuts, and different kinds of fillings like red bean filling, mung bean filling, green bean filling, sesame filling, and honey filling, fruits, etc. Most Asian countries have their own rice cakes since rice is the main ingredient used in their cuisine, and rice flours are widely used in different ways. If you ever visit Korea, please try different types of "Tteok". There are many great "Tteok Shops" with their own recipes as well as typical recipes. Also, don't miss the famous "Tteok-bokki" (떡복이) which is a "Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cake" which is one of the most popular street foods in South Korea.
That opening track!! The vibes!

Very gracious owners, cozy environment, exquisite dinning. How I wish I could visit South Korea. I am an American and many years ago a Korean family showed me the same grace your host showed you. Mrs Cho opened her house to me after my father passed away. She afforded me safety and family. She was a fabulous cook and when she resided in her home country she owned several businesses including a well known Korean Restaurant. Because of the Cho families mercy and grace I have a particular fondness of all things Korean. Listening to your descriptions of the delicate food and flavors I felt young again! Thank you ❤️🙏
