This could be another Ollie let loose on the internet episode but the amount of research and unnecessary information he has blessed us with is insane and also, quite outstanding.

i was having a rough night where i really just felt alone and didnt know what to do so i thought, 'you know who will make me feel less alone in this world?' and turned on jolly and well it did work ♡ thank you always. i feel okay now

Yes, I think originally, they distinguished by spelling it toilette (and the French word for cologne-not perfume, was eau de toilette. I'm old enough to remember seeing bottles with that on the label at my grandmother's)

I've been a jollybean for 2 years, but this is the first time I leave a comment on this channel. I just come here to say how immensely happy I am that you guys are back. In an age when everything can be made an ethical/political issue, such pure and wholesome content that you create is so precious

It's so lovely to have you back. Lots of laughs but I have just realised that it must be terrifying for your wives to let you out together!
