LOVE that quote, too! Super grateful for the debilitating, year-long recovery wrist surgeries I've been going through, but I'd rather not have connective tissue disease requiring it. But, without the surgeries, my hands and wrists would be 200% worse and nearly unusable.

I know the trainer said he starts off a little fast but he does slow down, so I'm thinking his gait is right for you, and I feel like you guys could be an amazing team and friendship. I loved how he was so physically connected to her. That takes time, and he mastered it so fast. Every time she moved an inch, he was with her. They're in sync. I think he's madly in love with Molly. Hope she chooses him bc he's already chosen her lol

Dog D, the ginger, had a complete "personality change" once he got into his harness! He looks like he would be a very playful pup to have around that becomes all business when necessary. Lovely dog.

@@killiansirishbeer As much as I liked the ginger, I think the trainers had good insight into what a magnet he would be for strangers wanting to pet or interact with him thus making it difficult for Molly to get on with a normal routine when out and about.

The way Option E looks at you is so sweet. He really likes you. I think all the pups are great in their own ways, and you'll know which one technically excels for you. But I do think Option E is hoping he's yours

Option D is absolutely gorgeous with how the ginger and white run together!! But I think you’ll end up with Option E. The way he looks at you is absolutely adorable and he seems like such a sweet happy boy!

Option E had this immediate love and wanting to please you. He looked at you so endearing as if he was saying “it’s going to be ok, I’m here now”.

C, D, and E all seem like wonderful dogs! D is especially gorgeous, but like you said, it's not all about appearances. I feel like there really seemed to be a connection with E. He already kind of has a nickname - bear! And omg, I've just realized that bears are often associated with bees/honey. That would be so perfect.

E definitely seemed like a therapy dog as well as supporting your sight. He really was keep close to you the entire time. I dunno if that’s a good thing for sight support but it seemed wonderfully loving ❤️

C is so cute! She's so gentle and calm, perfect for traveling or being around lots of people. D is gorgeous and seems like a really good boy. He's so focused and will be a great worker, but I think E will be your dog! Your face lit up when you described him. That small clip really showed his silly personality. He seems fun, but also attentive. He kept looking up at you, so sweet! I think HE also picked YOU! And how cute is it that he stomps and bumps you with his tail with each step?? It's like he knows you need some cheering up :)

I felt like Option E really wanted to love and protect you. How close he was to you and excited to be with you warmed my heart. I’m know this is a hard process but we love and support you Molly!

Seeing Option E with you, it was like his tail was lopsided towards you, like he was guarding you with his tail. It was so adorable!!!! I'm hoping it's Option E!

yes he was so gentle and nice and loving I don't know maybe he's too much like Ben but he was so attentive to her, beautiful little bear, so cute. I feel like D was also quirky and funny, he truly was very beautiful, also an awesome choice. They didn't show too much footage of the girl so I'm curious if we see more of her maybe she was also as great as D and E

I agree, butt slapping E is the perfect heart healer. Plus being mostly black he is good for colour coordination for any modelling needs eg runway shoots.

I'm kind of in love with option D, but at the same time, watching E wag his tail IN CICLES LIKE A HELICOPTER??? oh my goodness. he's so goofy, I love it. I could see you with any of your top dogs, but you really lit up when you mentioned how much E made you laugh

It’s amazing to see their temperament change instantly when the harness comes out. From puppy play to work mode, incredible

Service dogs often do deep pressure therapy as a task, so definitely E is helping you by sitting on your lap! It’s most often used for psychiatric relief, sensory support and can also help with circulation and blood pressure so it’s very versatile!

I love how D was being silly on the lead, but as soon as the harness was on, he transformed and got very focused. You can also see him in one of the shots after, sitting patiently at the back of the group, whilst they took E out of the kennel. So cute. E was a good boy, good vibes, cute feathery legs!

I noticed D watching on in the back too, he looked totally happy to be there and ready to root on the other dogs!!

I’m so impressed by how much MIRA addresses both your mental health needs and your physical needs

I feel like it has to be D or E. Both absolutely beautiful. dogs I feel like you're more excited about D, but E feels steadier and more comfortable, so I feel like it could go either way depending on how well you work with each of them, the trainers' opinions etc. It's wonderful that Mira were able to fit you in so quickly. Losing Ben is still rough, but at least you weren't left without a guide for long.

I love that goofy ginger boy; he really is such a sweet goof! But Option E clearly has so much empathy for you, what an affectionate boy❤️

The way Option E looks at you at 22:36 is like he’s saying, “I know you’re sad mama, let me heal your heart”😭 He’s just giving you that look that animals give when they’ve bonded with your soul♥️

OMG. You have no idea how much this helps me. i'm blind, so I can't tell what's going on when she's working with the dogs! Especially at the mall or other crowded areas :( What you described reminds me of my second guide dog, and it made me smile. I hope she picks him.

Molly, when you said “If you’re going through a rough time in your life…just know this will pass….this is not the rest of your life, it’s a moment in your life.” I needed that. My mom has been going through a lot of health stuff and my mental health has been struggling a lot with it realizing the situation she’s in. Thank you.

I loved how E kept tapping you on the bum with his tail and was happy to see you comment on it. My pittie (not a service dog, but a rescue dog) does that all the time to let me know she loves me.

I think you’re the most excited about the ginger. His energy seemed to mirror yours in a good way. I could see you two having a good connection and having a lot of fun together. I know this is so hard. But you’ve got this Molly.♥️ I don’t know you. But I love you. And so do so many others. You put a smile on everyone’s face. You’re a sweet, kind, genuine caring person. You’re so uplifting and inspiring to so many. Don’t let your sadness block your shine. You keep on shining. Every storm runs out of rain. Every dark night turns into day. I thought the same, he seemed like a ray of sunshine, so happy and energetic but once the harness came out he seemed so levelheaded

D is beautiful, but E seemed like a wonderful fit. He just seemed more natural with you. Very comfortable as if he was yours before. I love his personality, and cute way of his tail as he would guide. Absolutely beautiful dog as well. My guess will be on bear. ❤️

I loved option D but he had some moments when he looked nervous, whereas option E seemed so chilled but also keeping his eyes on you ready to get back to work when needed. Someone else also pointed out that he kept really close to you and seemed to be hoping you'll pick him so I'm rooting for option E 😊

I think E. He seemed both happy with a lot of personality and stable. I especially liked his chillness with public transit as that is a big part of your life.

Just wanted to drop a thank you for documenting this process. I know how flipping hard it must have been for you, but videos like these are so important for education on these topics. You are pretty darn awesome.

Option E was so happy. He brightened my day through the screen. Very joyful, kind eyes.

E was just wonderful and I can see how he switched into work mode immediately. Seems like a great match for whoever takes him whether that be Molly or someone else. He reminds me a bit of a police dog I knew, very playful and silly off duty and then a very good worker when needed.

When you had Option E hop up into the car with you, I love how you immediately checked to make sure that luxurious tail was tucked inside and protected it with your foot.

Option E seemed like the right doggie for you! Such a sweet dog and you could clearly see the connection you had ❤️

I'm guessing E, he seems really grounding and with all that you've been through I think that will be really good for you. Also having a dog that's able to adjust their walking speed is an amazing characteristic that might be beneficial to you. I also think his personality seems really playful but also serious, he's like a light switch. Where C seemed a little too serious and option D seemed a little too playful but it's hard to say within these few clips.

I love how you lit up talking about option D, but looking at his interaction with you (he was a little mouthy) made me think he has a bit more growing to do as that seemed like puppy playfulness. Option E on the other hand looked at you as if the only thing he wanted to do was make you proud of him. He wanted your approval which is a great thing to have. I really hope you choose him, he seemed so sweet!

Option D made you really happy, I could tell when you were talking about him. At first I thought he was too hyper when you had him just on the leash, but he was *laser-focused* once he was in harness. You could tell how seriously he took his job. Option E wants to be your best friend already! I have a feeling he might be more ready to be in love with you than you are ready to engage with him. His silliness and kindness would be a balm for you, but I wonder if he was just a little too close to Ben in that way? You sounded and felt hesitant. I trust you and the trainers have made the best decision, since they're all wonderful dogs!!

I absolutely love D he’d be a big difference from your other 3 babies, but I really think you’ll end up with E. The way his tail kept hitting you was a big sign it’s the perfect match.

My guess would be either D or E, but I can see you having ANY of those three beautiful dogs. ❤️❤️❤️

My guess is that the dog will be Option E. Although the beautiful ginger dog has a lot of qualities that would work well with her career, silliness and bringing out laughter, like Option E did, likely will do a lot of needed good, especially when it’s a difficult time for Molly. But, either seem like wonderful candidates with their special quirks.

I lost my little girl dog of 14 years last year and have been grieving heavily. In June a little boy dog became available after a death and I questioned whether I was ready because he looked so much like my last baby. Even though they looked so similar, he has turned out to be nothing like my little girl, in good ways. It helps me to talk to him about her. I tell him that I'm so thankful for his healing, puppy-like energy. You will get through this Molly, you are so strong. ❤

I absolutely love the Mira does it, when pairing handlers and dogs! I don't understand the old fashion way of doing it. Hope you're paired with your "the next almost decade" dog this time around! Can't imagine how hard it must have been going through the loss of Bennix.

I'm cheering for E, bc he reminds me of my service dog. His quirky personality, his humour, and I think he would be a real light in your life. He's got a special energy that comes through even through a screen

E is my fave :) seemed SO sweet and reliable. Gorgeous dog, but not overstated. He had love for you in his eyes already and treated you with so much affection - seems like he would be a great therapy dog as well as a guide dog :)

I picked up on that too! Sometimes our Guides know more about our needs than we do. He was likely picking up on Molly’s emotions & letting her know that it was ok to be vulnerable with him, he still had her back nonetheless ✌️😎👍 A very intuitive boy for sure

C, D and E were all my favs too! I loved the petiteness of C, the coloring of D but the connection with E was very strong as well. I personally am a fan of girl dogs but Molly seems like the kind of girl who likes the security of a bigger/taller dog at least that's the vibe I get. D was my favorite pick for her but I'm excited to see who she ends up with as they are all great options!

I love your saying that Bennix can never be replaced. It reminds me of a book that was my first introduction to the idea of guide dogs, back in the 70s, where a returning student says that his prior dog "can never be replaced, only succeeded." (I.e. next in succession.) That line has stuck with me for 50 years.

D is gorgeous!!! But… my heart is with E. He does look like a bear. The way he looked at you and the whole tail thing was hilarious!

Mira truly seems like an amazing foundation! So thankful it exists! I can really tell how much time and effort and care they put into helping you find the perfect guide dog for you! I love that they don't prematch, I think that must make such a big difference for the blind to be able to spend time with multiple dogs before finding the right one rather than just getting paired with one without ever meeting them. So sorry about the situation with sweet Bennix and this difficult transition but I'm so grateful Mira is there for you and will make getting your next pup the best experience possible! I love the change in the dogs the moment de harnesses are put on. The dog immediately goes from happy and very playful to happy and business! Amazing!

Option C, City Girl. Steady, confident and she gives you more foot-room when jetting up and down the west coast. I saw your excitement with the boys and D is definitely a looker and E is sweet with his bum-tapping tail. All great pups. Excited to see your choice and to hear your reasons.

My same thought with C and she so reminded me of Gallop. I think she would be my personal favourite. D is obviously beautiful but also quite wild/active personality and last time Molly didn*t like that about a dog... That*s why my guess is E, she was too skeptical with C.

I really liked the playful energy of D, so I'm hopeful for him as well. But like you said, she can't go wrong with any of them. They all seem great.

I think top 2 would be D and E. I loved how excited Molly got when she talked about option D. However, watching the clips of Molly and E together, I’m personally hoping she ends up with E.

I'm at MIRA getting my first guide dog. It's very interesting to see the differences between how they do your first dog vs. successive ones. It's also interesting that you worked with only 3 dogs when you got your first one. I haven't been matched yet but I've done at least some harness walking with maybe 11 or 12 dogs. Thank you for making these videos, they are both educational and incredibly entertaining.

This video made me so happy for you. Especially after watching Ben’s goodbye video last week. You won’t be replacing him, he will always have a special place in your heart but I think we all as viewers can tell how important having a guide dog is. Excited to continue watching this journey!!

Me too! As hard as it was to transition so unexpectedly and so quickly, I'm also very grateful because I know it helped me heal faster.

I'm not a frequent watcher of your videos, although I will watch one now and again. I have been watching the last few videos about Ben and it was really sad to hear he couldn't work anymore when you had such a great relationship with him. I'm only halfway through this video and I can already tell that, even though you are still grieving, this, working with dogs, has had such a positive effect on you. As I said, I'm not a devoted follower, so I don't know about the hardships that have been happening that you spoke of, if you have shared them at all, but I have to say it is really great to see you smiling and being happy. Even if those moments are still bubbles of fresh air in an otherwise difficult time, I really hope they will, with time, expand and overtake the bad times, so that you may have more good times than bad times in you life. Wish you all the best, and that you may find and create another great bond with your next guide dog. ❤️❤️❤️ Edit: finished the video and although I personally liked option D, I believe like many other in the comments that option E seems like the one you made a connection with.

I really relate molly this summer has been rough. Everytime I tell someone what has happend they are just shocked. I wish It was stuff that could pass. I lost my dad 2 months ago it's been literally the worst summer of my life. can't wait to meet your new dog on Friday!

This year I was supposed to get my first service dog, so I soaked up everything from your experience at mira. Unfortunately things didn't work out and since I am at a small school I have to wait for the next dog to be raised and trained. I was feeling devastated... It's so hard to choose from the 3 wonderful pups but My vote goes towards little bear simply because he reminds me of my Service Dog Harloe who's a Red pure bred field golden retriever and is always the happiest dog in a room, she also has happy feet and tap dances when she is super excited and her tail never stops wagging 😊 she's an amazing worker but can also be a Buffalo when off duty because she's so happy and bouncy and loves to run and play in our back yard, her off switch is amazing 🥰 any of the top 3 choices will be amazing for you ❤️ your strength is inspiring. At first I thought Ginger was way too hyper, but it's amazing to see the transition with these dogs once the harness is on. I love E's tall wag... you'll always know he's his own special dog.

I loved C so much - her size is great for travelling but in the end all options were great =). Curious which one will be the one... My guess is though it will be E.

Loved them!! Omg option E! The chemistry was beautiful!! I could feel the love radiating from him! He kept so close to you! ❤️❤️

Option C being a bit smaller may be great for all your travels! Option D made you smile so much! I love how the clip showed the sillyness when on leash, and then the work mode setting in as soon as the harnass was put on. Option E is beautiful, too. What a kind dog. I mean, all Mira dogs are, but he seemed so gentle. The fact you worked him so much makes me think he is in for a chance... So excited for you to have your fresh start. I know by the time we're seeing this the decision has already been made, so curious to see what dog you'll get up with, and who will be guiding you from now on.

Somehow, I think you'll end up with E, the Little Bear. His spirit was so warm and bubbly! I can't wait to see who you end up with. I know this next chapter will be filled with light! ♡

My guess is Option D. Option C is a close 2nd, I love the idea of 2 petite fashion ladies taking the world by storm. All 3 seem like great dogs and I am sure whichever dog Molly ends up with will be perfect for her.

I'm going with E because you showed us the most footage of them! I'm so sad but so happy for you. Grief is hard but it's amazing to know yourself well enough to know what you need. Your dogs are so lucky to have an owner like you, and Mira is the best for giving you the best dogs for you.

I'm from Montreal and I fostered a Mira dog in my teens. (She failed the testing and my parents didn't want her permanently, I still haven't gotten over that one). I donate when I can, but I've always said that when I'm rich 😉 they will be the main non profit I support. They are truly amazing.

The “traumatic ending” aspect of service animals is hitting really close to home for me. Last year, we had to rehome my service dog, Kaiba due to me almost dying and then being bed-ridden for months. My wife couldn’t care for him while I was on bed rest, and that wasn’t fair for her or him, so we decided to find a new home for him. It broke me, honestly. After another traumatic service dog loss the year prior, I was just done. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be ready to have another, but life without one is so much more difficult… So I found a dog that is the complete opposite of Kaiba. And she’s perfect, yes, but this makes so much more sense now that I know about the trauma aspect of it…

Option E seemed to have that instant connection with you! But of all the dogs, the three you mentioned are most likely a great match seem to fit you perfectly! Thank you for sharing your journey!

Option D the ginger dog even walked like a little prince with his head held high and like his shoulders back like a model haha! He definitely knows he’s a stunning dog 😆 but Option E definitely has the perfect chemistry and he looks at you with so much love.

When I saw option D I was sold… he is so gorgeous and sweet; but then I saw how option E looked at you and started crying!! I think he’s the one. Either way both great choices!

All three would be wonderful of course, but... I definitely felt there was chemistry between you and option E. He seemed really enamored with you, like he wasn't there just to do a good job, he was there to do a good job for YOU. The way he sat between your legs (basically on your feet haha) brought an instant smile to my face. Many of his clips just got me smiling without realizing. He's kind and gentle, like you mentioned, and capable of switching easily between being fun/silly and being a calm/stable worker. Kind of sounds like he's just what you need tbh. I am not visually impaired or anything, but I do struggle a lot mentally and these past few videos do remind me how much I'd like to have a furry friend again (I'm 26 and my first dog died 5 years ago, after 14 years). It's such a joy and a great support to have an unconditionally loving being beside you all the time, but I understand that's also part of why it's so hard when losing them (early). It must be real heavy to get used to the idea of a new guide dog in such a short time, let alone getting the actual dog and taking them home and into your life. But no matter wich doggy it will end up being, they will be there for you in their own unique way. Ben was obviously very special and a lot of what you said in the previous video really resonated with me. Like how maybe he was just a bright light that was meant to shine for you, even if for a short while, while you were in the dark (edit: might’ve read that in the comments, my bad if so but it’s still relevant!). It reminded me of a quote that I heard in the show Arcane: "It's a sad truth that those who shine brightest often burn the fastest". Wish you the best of luck and joy with your new furry friend
