Trying $2 Street Food in China! AMAZING Jianbing in Beijing and Tianjin

Use code UAEATS50 to get 50% off your first Factor box at bit.ly/448tpx3!
Out of all the best Chinese street food options, the jianbing may be the most legendary of them all. Also called a jianbing guozi, a jianbing is basically a Chinese crepe pancake, similar to a crunchwrap supreme from taco bell. You cook it with egg, frying the egg right into the crepe, and you then fill it with crispy chips or youtiao, slather it with savory sauce, and eat it piping hot. You can find it at pretty much any Chinese food festival and is one of the best cheap foods in China. These can be as low as $1! And $2 max!
In this video, we hit up both Beijing jianbing and Tianjin jianbing guozi to see which one of them reigns supreme as the best style of jianbing. While jianbing is originally from Tianjin, don't think that means Beijing is far behind. There are jianbing stands all over Beijing so they may make some good ones too!
This video will wrap up our China food tour series and I'm glad I was able to do China street food for my final video in China. Once again, thank you to Factor 75 for sponsoring this vid. And I hope you like the video!

I visited Beijing twice around a number of years ago. It’s one of my favorite cities. American style Chinese food is nothing like food in China. In Beijing I stayed in a major chain hotel. And the reception staff spoke English. I mentioned the names of some Chinese foods sold in America with photos. They looked at each other totally confused lol.

For American Chinese food, most Americans define it as fried rice, general Tso chicken, crab Rangoon, egg rolls, etc…From my personal experience if i try to introduce them to authentic Chinese food, they won’t like it even if it’s good because the American version is wired into their taste buds

Most of the standard Chinese American dishes served in Chinese restaurants in America that cater mainly to non-Chinese market were based on dishes found in the Southern parts of China. Especially from the Guangdong province. This is because the original Chinese immigrants to the US came from this province. Over the years, these Cantonese/Guangdong dishes became modified to suit American paletes and because of lack of original ingredients.
