This is my orange juice kinda perspective: I used to watch someone I know never eat anything at lunch or breakfast so I started becoming extremely scared with her. She hated staring at any type of food that was around and hated the thought of eating to the point where she would throw up. I felt so bad and I knew where she was coming from so I said, "take it slow. eat even just a little bit even if it hurts. nobody is going to care what you look like, and if they do so be it. you're beautiful and even if that means nothing to you just think of who you care about and how you could die from this." i helped her day by day and made sure she ate at least one thing per day. soon enough she became herself again and was eating again. to this day im so proud of her even if we aren't friends anymore :)

This hurt my soul so badly. I'd never really thought about just how deep each and every one of her songs are and how they don't mainly focus on the hurt of getting cheated on or broken up with and instead touch on societal issues and such. I think somewhere inside I must've known this because I got nearly every song right just based on the meaning when I've never been able to get them right based on their lyrics. I don't know, the fact that Melanie was able to trigger that response in me without me even realizing it was beautiful. I wish songs like these didn't have to be made though. If only society could just fix itself.

Now this video is out this made me realize some of the meanings to the song and how some of them have very important messages I did not know of.

I love the message of show and tell I realized the message awhile back after watching a video on artists being mistreated then remembered the lyrics to this song

i’ve seen ppl in the comments say what they think the songs are abt so imma talk abt drama club. I think it’s abt how society has made people put up fronts and just go along with everything faking their feelings. And how everyone is meant to fit in and be perfect. It’s abt everyone in general not just celebrities or people who get bullied. We’ve been taught to fake our opinions, thoughts and feelings to act like everything’s fine when there are real life problems that needs to be addressed

That black will never come out if it wasn’t your natural hair color to begin with. And the bleach made your hair incredibly porous so be careful to keep any other dye away from that side. Even ink from a pen can ruin that.

Thisnamestillsucks i did the same my hair is naturally a level 4 ish so i didn’t dye it black but yeah the blonde side is porous and damaged but using conditioner and dyes like overtone and arctic fox are good for your hair and doesn’t ruin it even more

Let's be honest crybabies... *It wasn't that hard* Edit:Guys I don't mean that if you got one wrong you're a "fake crybaby", it was just pretty easy for me because I listen to K-12 24/7 but for example class fight was pretty hard not gonna lie. And If you got a lot of the songs wrong at least you know the meaning and understand the song better or possibly even relate to it. Even if you didn't get mega crybaby you are still a super fan and an amazing person 🙂

being expected to maintain a specific figure is not the main cause of an eating disorder (usually). it can certainly fuel the disorder, yes. but it usually comes from something completely unrelated to body image. a desire to feel in control, to feel successful, to finally do something “right” is more often at the root of an ed. more than anything else, an eating disorder is a coping mechanism, as damaging as it is. speaking from my own experience, my battle with anorexia came from the perfectionist desire for everything to be exactly right. this seeped into my eating habits, and yes, my body image. but please, do not make it seem as if body image issues are the root of all eds. it comes across as making those with eds seem vain, as if it’s a choice or a lifestyle. eating disorders are complex mental illnesses. please don’t just simplify them to body image struggles.
