It sounds like a couple of things saved this puzzle: very few pieces were 100% one color, the pieces were larger than normal (much easier to see larger patches of color on a piece).

I’ve done the 500 piece gradients and they weren’t awful. I loved the one with the lines that Karen recommended in her video about this brand ... highly recommend since you liked this one.

I like how you wrote that "they weren't awful" hehehehe I often use the saying "I didn't hate it" and it makes my hubby laugh. I think I know which one you mean with the lines - I would be up for trying it. 💜🧩

I really liked your sorting method on this one. I love the idea of a super thorough sort but then I usually get impatient and my sorting gets less precise. This seemed like a good way to keep the sorting precise but manageable, especially since it was 500 pieces and not too many colors. Very satisfying to watch 😊🤍💚🧡💛💜🖤

I guessed it spot on at 2:50! Would love to try a Areaware puzzle someday too. The only gradient puzzle I have is the cloudberries one at 1000 piece😮

I do prefer gradient puzzles with some sort of detail in it like the ColorBoom Collection from Clementoni. I think the only true colour gradient I did with imagery was the Krypt one which was one. I would like to try the Cloudberries one someday.

My guess was 2:20. I bet next time it will be that or less. I love the look of this puzzle, and it's good to know that it's bigger pieces. That helps those of us who are now over 50 and our eyesight isn't what it used to be! I might have to buy this one someday.

i will admit that my eyesight and my hand tremors limit me the most in puzzling. So I like puzzles with larger pieces for these reason - easier to see and to handle. 💜🧩

There you go, I said it wouldn't be as difficult as you thought. 😀 I have done all three of those puzzles which are the Arc one you did, plus Stack and Lenticular. I think the Lenticular was the trickiest of the three. I thoroughly enjoyed doing all three. I've just found a blue shades version of the Lenticular one so I shall probably buy that. Look forward to your next video and to the results of BOTYP 3.

The #BOTYP results have been posted as a shorts video as well as on Instagram. Have you seen them? Everyone did amazing and it was so much fun! Stack and Lenticular look interesting - I could be up for that challenge should I find them.

I did the "Pattern Puzzle" by Areaware and there were so many misfits, I said I would never do another one of their puzzles

And that is exactly why I would never do one off their gradient ones, I can only image how many false fits it would have. Ugh...prong shape people! Why can't manufacturers vary their prong shapes?!

I just finished this puzzle. I sorted by shape, then started in one corner and worked my way out. I took some time, and I think if I did it again, I would try your method.

I did not guess correctly, but I was close 😉you did very well. I think I personally try the puzzle and then think about how difficult it is. I don’t look at it too much because then I could be discouraged to do it. If I have to call it quits, I do. Because puzzling is about good times.

I think since I started speed puzzling, I am more judgy of a puzzles difficult - but then I get it wrong. The easier puzzles are find more difficult and the harder ones I had thought would be easier. It's like the puzzles we picked at Worlds to do during the teams preliminary - we totally chose wrong!

This seems like a fun one where as the gradients (I just had a peek at them) would not be based on first glance. The tedious sorting would've been the way I approached it too. Also in an update, I didn't find out anything on Educa's puzzle piece cut. 😂

Thanks for the update. I would love for Educa to totally redo their piece cut and make fully interlocking pieces. And I agree, those gradient ones are a big NO from me!

You must’ve had a hard time the color spectrum when it comes to sorting those pieces. Great use for the bravery!

It wasn't too bad for me on this one as the yellow and two oranges were differently shaded enough for me to distinguish.

I just love how good you are at sorting. It's a talent I admire to 😊 Super puzzle.

I have their yellow to orange gradient puzzle. Yes… it was a nightmare! The top 1/3 of the puzzle… the orange portion… had no gradient at all… it was basically a solid orange puzzle at that point. I did persist and finished. Then I numbered the back for future in case I want to try it again sometime. Basically the box now is artwork on the shelf. 😀

@@LJG7654 I had someone post photos in a Facebook group and they also had gone it the same way in the order of colours as I had done. Seemed the most logical.
