Korean facials are known for their thorough and multi-step approach to skincare, which aims to achieve clear, radiant, and youthful skin. Here are the general steps involved in a typical Korean facial:
Cleansing: The first step in any skincare routine is to thoroughly cleanse the skin. Korean facials often start with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen, followed by a water-based cleanser to remove impurities and residue. This double cleansing method ensures a clean canvas for the subsequent steps.
Steam or Warm Compress: Applying steam or a warm compress to the face helps to open up the pores, making it easier to remove impurities and prepare the skin for the next steps.
Exfoliation: Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. It can be done with physical exfoliants like scrubs or with chemical exfoliants like AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) or BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids). We do both physical and chemical exfolaiton
Mask: Depending on your skin type and concerns, a sheet mask or a wash-off mask may be applied. Sheet masks are soaked in serums and are left on the face for a period of time, while wash-off masks are applied and rinsed off after a few minutes. These masks provide intense hydration and address specific skin issues.
SerumSheet Application: Serums and ampoules are concentrated treatments that target specific skin concerns. Depending on your needs, you may apply a hydrating serum, a brightening ampoule, or one that focuses on anti-aging.
Eye Cream: A specialized eye cream is applied to the delicate skin around the eyes to address concerns like puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines.
Moisturizing: A moisturizer is used to lock in all the previous layers of skincare, providing hydration and creating a protective barrier on the skin.
Optional Steps: Some Korean facials may include additional steps like the use of facial oils, mists, or special treatments like acne spot treatments or collagen masks, depending on individual skin needs.

Hi Nipun, firstly thank you so much! Your cystic acne video saved my life. Few clarifications, would be eagerly awaiting your response. 1. Can sensitive skin with cystic acne do this facial? 2. I couldn't find these hydrating soothing masks in India, though they look so tempting, especially the Peter Roth stem cell one. Do you think the Pixi Remedy Rose Jelly mask would be a good substitute? Please suggest some good alternative for that, will be really grateful. 3.
