I think you should add 2 Pond fishermen baits making it top 7. So many of us all we fish is ponds on shore or in a lil John Boat. The baby bluegill are the forage in most ponds in the Midwest rn. Griffons and small lipless are killer and the deps Zero 120’s are amazing instead of a Buzzbait as they can be popped and slapped bc they float. Maybe we should do a Jon Jon’s segment!😂😂 I am such a lure and fishing junkie!!!!! Appreciate you guys and great to meet you Geoff at the Gathering. We appreciate you my friend! So, I fish ponds 4-5 days a week - I’ve been using the Gorham all week and catching them. Not always small baits - as you pointed out about the Evoke 120 and of course your great crawlers 🍻

Instead of z3 use the z1 and the sleeper craw than some type of walking or crawler topwater 🤑

To many guys forget about big baits that you can really get to scream or fast crank and still run true that will completely make big Bass go nuts and bite like they have never seen it. ALL the Megabass Big M series baits will do this as well as DRT Tiny Klash and K9. Don’t be afraid to really burn the bigger hard baits, it makes the bigger quality fish lose their mind!

It’s nice having someone give fishing tips that’s fishing in the southwest, and not someone from Texas or Florida. Us Socal boys need tips too!

I agree. I’m a wuss too lol! 115 is too hot. All seriousness, that Z3 is way under rated! One of my favorite cranks in the fall. Personal preference for the sleeper craw the Bmg gets me the best hook up to land ratio. Fish it up to 20lb through heavy cover, also makes for a great flipping bait through wood.

No, not on elastomer.

The sleeper craw has been a create bait this year. I cant wait to try that RAID Zariganist. Its not even a craw bait, its more like a lobster 😂😂😂

I crush them with the smaller glides this time. And I always replace the hooks with Ichikawa Kamakiri hooks. I know you guys swear by the ST-36 but those Ichikawas are insanely strong to me. I wish you guys carried them, they fit your style especially since they work with Nishine.

Great video again. How does the tip on the 7’ 10” cookai compare to the tip on the mark 56 ? I love all I hear about the mark 56 but I can’t get passed the short handle and buy one. Was hoping the cookai was comparable and I would get one instead of the 56

CooKai is almost identical in taper to the Blackjack, so it would be a great alternative to a Mark 56 👍

Nice vid, but I have kind of an unrelated question and this is your latest one so...are all Raid Japan soft plastics made from elastomer? I have a couple of versions of your Raid drops from this Sun (Osakana and Zaraganist) on the way and am wondering about storage. Also, are the Adjustaworm series elastomer as well? Thanks y'all!

I like the Sleeper Craw in theory... I just don't like the fact that it melts if it you touch it to ANY other plastic...or expose it to air...or look at it too long...or THINK about looking at it too long. That SUCKS for a $10 bait. If I'm looking purely for realism, I'll go with the Nikko Craw all day long...or even the Savage Gear 4D Craw, for that matter.

Well, all elastomer baits need to be separated from other baits. As fas as melting - it doesn’t happen. I’ve tried purposefully to make it happen, and it doesn’t. The only melting that’s happening is when other baits touch it - which again would happen with any elastomer.

@@thehookuptackle_usa ahhh...I guess I just made that all up then. Weird that mine didn't touch any of my other baits and something still happened to it that wasn't melting apparently. Maybe it was just a congenital birth defect? I think putting some kind of notice on the packaging that it's made of elastomer would be a nice touch.

It’s been so long without trout content. Guess I gotta go back to fly fishing channels to cope😖
