I'm a colorist, my specialty is color theory. I educate on color and the color wheel. I cannot even tell you how grateful I am now, witnessing people experiencing something I took for granted...I am deeply moved. To the people that developed these glasses, you are amazing heros. I will never take this for granted. God bless you!

I'm colourblind and I don't feel comfortable wearing these things. For all my life I learned "colours" by the way different light shines off things, for example trees are dim in a sunset, blue eyes reflect the water. Your difference between Orange, Gold and Yellow is like my difference between Green, Grey and Pink. So it really widens the range! I can already guess most of the time what colours things are supposed to be, even if I can only see dozens not hundreds of them. I can't play team games online because I literally can't tell the team colours apart. So I didn't play many online games, I went outdoors where the light was brightest and I could get the best view of things. So I like my eyes the way they already are, even if they're really terrible :)

@@tinfoilhomer909 That's life. We all adapt to our difference from Human 1.0 Agreed Specification and we make the best of it. Some are happy with their lot other's want to explore. It's just down to who you are. Personally I think I can see colours pretty well but when I close my eyes there is only ever darkness. I am still trying to get my head around the fact that when people say that they can count sheep with their eyes closed that they aren't pulling my leg.

Did you notice how they are all drawn to the beauty of the color green and started by looking at mother nature. The saturation and dimension of colour in trees is clearly to die for. We should care for our planet!

Enchroma glasses help with green-red separation which is why things with a red or green hue might suddenly pop out in a way where before they were a confused grey-brown. It is not as if someone who sees only black and white, can suddenly see the entire spectrum and is drawn primarily to green. They’re drawn to green because the glasses by design help people who cannot see green (due to sensitivity/separation problems but not dichromats.) So yes- the environment is important and we need to protect it. But no, there is nothing here that supports your suggestion that when people who couldn’t see color for the first time sees colors they are predominantly drawn to green because their inherent love of ‘Mother Nature’. That is just your metaphysical framing, but they’re drawn to green simply because it’s the new color they see.

Imagine you were "color blind" to different types of concrete, glass, metal and rust and you put glasses on and you started crying in a metropolitan. And someone says shit like "We need to build more cities". Yeah, that's the way you come across. Not that i disagree with you in preserving natural scenery. But "caring for our planet" is really corny and i would rather watch it BURN than having to listen to that shit.

This is kinda sad but when i feel very sad i think of the people where i grew up in mexico. Some people have no legs. They dont get government assistance, they get up everyday and push themselves on their skate boards or whatever they have to get around to juggle, spit fire, sell handmade tortillas, to live another day. These people have a will to live and sometimes, us who have it all or everything they wish they had, want to die. Always look on the bright side. You have your arms, legs, brain. Dont allow anyone or anything to make you feel you were not here. Because many would like to be in your place

@@mr.censored5.082 You really are an idiot aren't you? They're not crying over the colours. It goes much deeper than that. It's the emotion of seeing their loved ones as they really are for the first time, seeing what beauty in nature they've been missing out in their whole lives and the gratitude of receiving such a wonderful gift. How can you be so oblivious about human emotion? Being 'tough' doesn't preclude someone from crying. Crying is completely natural whether a person is tough or not. It's a release mechanism that's all. What's NOT tough is having to hold back your tears because you're SCARED of expressing yourself over fear of what people think of you. That screams being WEAK. Too frightened to even be a healthy human being. I hope you're just some silly kid who thinks they're edgy. If you're a grown man who thinks like you do, you have some serious issues.

I remember feeling this way when I wore glasses for the first time. Never knew I needed them. Everything was so extremely bright and vivid it was a surreal experience.

I am colorblind with "Strong Protan" diagnosis from EnChroma Test. I can imagine why those people cry. I cant see the forest as a normal viewer can see. I can only see a full brown collor. I cant see the differences of colors in your hair , on the leaves of a flower , on the grass. I usually see a mash of a color. We , the colorblind people, live our lives trying to detect other thinks on materials, like the shape , the smell , the sounds... I wish one day i can afford to buy those glasses for me too :D I wish you all the best! A colorblind artist from Greece!

It feels nice to see adults being emotional like they've waited for this moment that someone can invent to make possibilities on their disability to see colors cause it'really hard in their part to see full of dull colors and that is one of the inventions that we should create, to fill happiness on emptiness of others and missing parts that they want to explore before they depart.. the thing that i really love watching these videos is that i am grateful for everything.
