Just would like to mention that if you think that the footsteps are a major problem, there is something that you can do to fix it. Just tune your headphone. EQ isn't a problematic thing, and if you just need to deal with a certain range of hz (make sure to study what hz you want to focus), then you can just tune your headphone in a way that just that range is buffed, but the overall headphone will (likely) still sound quite good.

Yeah I just use simple realtek console EQ and that is enough to make salnotes zero sound waaaay better.

KZread reviews are so fucking pretentious nowadays where TOP creators constantly just assume you know everything, and so without first researching, for example, "how to understand IEMs", half the video is information i can find on the box or Amazon review, and the other half is jargan and terms I have no fucking clue what they mean. And because all the top creators do this, the first couple search results pages on youtube is just nothing but this format of video reviews. so coming across this video and this creator. this is rarer than diamonds and i cant help but to appreciate this quality ass video. im pulling for you so hard Teddward that you never switch up your content format. Im torn apart between the zeroes (all of them red blue OG and 2) and the truth ear Gate ... I've been using chu1 for one year and they were good just lacked the fun aspect but had details and were good for valorant ... I need an upgrade so help me out ..budget is around 20-50USD

So there is a cable that I have seen called the Kinera Gramr Modular IEM Cable with Detachable Boom Mic that I want to try with them. It is $50 on Amazon. I’d love to test it to see if it is a viable replacement for people on console specifically

what about the Salnotes 3,5 and the USB C ones ? i would guess the USB C should sound better ? anyone got an opinion on that ? :)

I am not a very experienced audiophile, but looking at the frequency graphs of both the IEMs, I believe a little bit of EQ by adjusting the 110Hz frequency should work (or even AutoEQ should)

just for the record here, if you're someone who's concerned with soundstages and imaging, you're not exactly looking at the right audio monitor device. IEMs were designed to be portable monitors for musicians to well... monitor their work during concerts or just anyone that needs something on their ear, obviously this doesn't mean their bad but they're bad compared to dedicated headphones or speakers in regards to soundstages and imaging. that's because of their size, you can only do so much on small drivers and let alone add so much more drivers on it (unless we found a way to have more) anyway, if you were concerned about those i doubt you'd be reading this lol. anyhow, great review, it was on point and definitely told me what I expected the title told me.

Iems sound better then headphones.depending what u get they are directly in ear unlike headphones that had to bounce around outside of ear .I switched over once I entered the 1000.00$ end game bracket but u pay 😅

Yeeepp, I own an Sennheiser HD 560s and didn't use it for gaming, until I fall for the "IEM fOr GaMinG!" shill bait and bought the TruthEar Zero to hear "foot steps" better on R6 and Tarkov. In summary, the Truth Ear does great for an IEM...it is impressive for the price point and probably beat your turtle beach Razor crap...but it is incredibly stupid to say that IEM beat headphones especially something like an HD 560s because as soon as I compare the 2. The HD 560s was like listening to real life and the sound positioning I can pin point in yardage. While the IEM yeah does okay for close range positioning but whenever there's multiple sounds going off at the same time, everything becomes pretty muddle. I'm not a sound expert but I have excellent hearing. Needless to say, I'm using the HD 560s for all my games now and the TruthEar goes to my wife for her music. Anyone that said IEM > Headphones, are either a shill or deaf

Planning to buy Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue for casual gaming mostly fps games like PUBG and CS2. I bought a 4 USD IEM QKZ AK6 PRO and I have a Razer Blackshark v2. I use the Razer Sound Card for my IEM and not satisfied for my IEM the gun shot has an high pitch though the footstep imaging is ok. Do I need to buy a DAC or my Razer Sound Card is good? TIA

Great review! However, I tried the Salnotes Zero and they are unfortunately uncomfortable for me, I'll have to pass on them. I just think I'm not ready to pay the 80$ CAD pricetag for the Truthear x Zero Blue (heard the Red aren't so great for gaming, which is my primary use)

They do not have a mic but I actually just got a wire that has a mic attached to it that I’m going to be testing this week and should be having a video come out over the next couple of weeks

some people said the opposite, the Truthear Zero was the goat when trying to hear footsteps and stuff like that (low/medium frequency) and im searching for THE BEST iem under 55$ to play FPS/MMO/MOBA, and now im sad cuz u said the Salnote was the best for FPS... There's another IEM besides these 2? under 55$ for gaming?

@@nitrofrogg431 hmmm most IEMs don’t need a Amp. The QKZ x HBB only have and impedance of 22ohm so they shouldn’t need and amp. You might need to turn the gain up in your computer audio settings inside the properties of the output

blue all the way. red is for those who have a very specific taste in their high's and if you don't know what that means, just get the blue.

Im still really confused about getting the truthear zero or moondrop aria. I think ill just go with truthear zero so i can spend some of the money for ear tips

Why aren't truthears good at Call of Duty? and I play call of duty and r6 any shooters but in call of duty there are bugs the steps in the other games I don't know

call of duty footsteps are very light and hard to understand where the sound is coming from with IEM

I don't know why it didn't occur to me before - I was listening to my IEMs and was thinking the seal wasn't too good. So I folded my ears flat, forward...and the sound quality just improved. Bass was so much better. I then put on my headphones to keep my ears pressed and now I'm happy. Cost was $0. If you want to improve the sound of your IEMs and a spare set of headphones, give it a shot.

Was just about to write that he forgot the 3rd zeros. Not sure how he landed on these 2 being the be all. There are so many great IEMs.

My DCMEKA AO9 sounds way better in comparison to my 7Hz Salnotes Zero. So i'd also like to recommend these for anybody looking

I have the Salnotes Zeros and REDs (updated version of the Truthear Zeros). The REDs have a noticeable increase in resolution and feel wider. Sadly the REDs don’t fit well in my abnormally small ear canals so I can only wear them when I am stationary. The Salnotes fit my ears perfectly.

@@notepadplusplus4923 the RED is definitely better for music. I can hear certain details more clearly which makes me appreciate the music more. I can’t really say for gaming as I use a dedicated pair of SR850s at my PC. I found that using small Render tips (a foam/silicone hybrid) did help some with the fit. It remains comfortable while also providing enough friction that they don’t fall out as easily.

Just get both and swap when you play call duty

7hz Zero is only usd 20 and sound better

What about the bass of 7hz? Is it good enough for valorant?
