Stock speakers are 'specifically' designed with respect to the 'source' ie. the amplifier/head unit of the car. Their weight or construction are then proportionate to their output. There's no upper limit to go the audiophile way and integrate aftermarket speakers for better sound staging and output. You punctured a perfectly good set of speakers for no fault. If you want audiophile quality sound, first get a high end head unit, then a class D amplifier, DSP unit, and then come the speakers. Fire it up with a lossless cable and then sit back and enjoy the drive.

Yep. A regular pankaj will think that xuv700's stock speakers are bad. They trashed these speakers. I'm no master audiophile but it xuv700's stocks sony system sounded crystal clear and bass tight and punchy.

Coming to weight of speakers. Cheap quality magnets are heavy and neodymium magnets are very heavy in terms of magnetic flux density, not material weight/mass. And this guy just judges it from the weight of speakers termed it to "build quality". Insane.

These kind of customers has made the music component industry so damn expensive. The magnets used in these sony speakers are neodymium magnets which are twice stronger than normal ferrite magnets for smaller size so weight does'nt matter much in sound quality of that speaker and also sony has spent a lot on research on those speakers rathar than any aftermarket product .It is sure that his car will rattle overtime .

Everyone I know who has an XUV700 is really happy with the quality of these very speakers that you have broken bro.

You need to understand that a neodymium speaker weighs about 50% less than other speakers without giving up power or tone. So even if the Sony speaker was lighter, the sound would not be lacking.

Bro, iPhone ka speaker kabhi dekhna khol ke, it is the lightest but its quality is the best in the world. How HEAVY the speaker is doesn't have anything to do with its quality. Measure the output, speaker size etc don't fall for gimmicks.

Another case of thinking you know everything when you actually done. Sony speakers are Neodymium speakers and Morrel are Ferrite magnet speakers. Big difference in weight will be there. Quality can only be assessed if you actually go into the tech specs and do a sound test. Poking holes in the speaker is not the solution. Please learn these things before your next review.

Aapko pata hona chahiye that a Neodymium speaker (like the Sony one in XUV) will always be significantly lighter than the one you installed. That's the whole point of it.

He actually downgraded the car instead of upgrade.

Sir, OEM speakers ka koi comparison nahi hai... congratulations you have been fooled those small magnets are neodymium (much more flux than this stupid bulky magnets) I can challenge any so called audio guru in Karol bagh to produce the same sound quality which OEM provides without using a subwoofer.....so sad to see that you destroyed gems... my piece of advice is paper cone speakers reproduce much much better bass, mids than PP cone bcoz of lighter diaphragm and less inertial movements which results in quick displacement to produce better sound at all frequencies......waise kitne paise thukva diye inn Karol bagh wale thugs ne 😀

For a clickbait title, it is not good to admonish companies like Sony and Mahindra that are giving us good quality products. That speaker you broke was actually good.

And FYI, sony koi generic speakers nahi deta car brands ko lagane ke liye from factory, agar sony ka music system hai, toh matlab bs grill pe badging hoti hai, kyuki company knows normal people will look at the grill and it will be self understood that it says SONY, but people like you don’t understand anything and just want to make a bad image of the brand on social media

A more objective comparison would have been if you recorded the performance of the speakers side by side and let the viewers judge for themselves. By making comments about how the speakers are made of paper (all speakers are, btw) you've only proven that you know very little about what makes speakers good.

Unless you want the car to rattle and shake whenever you play a song, the speakers provided by the company is more than enough. I've tested the 12 speakers of xuv700, and frankly to me I was impressed by the 3D sound.

Heavy speakers doesn't mean better quality there are many different type of frequencies which speaker can handle as they are designed Light speaker are mostly designed for mid and high range you are installing just to make noise not to feel the proper music

Only if Kanwar puts in some time at his dealership, other customers may also benifit. Also he acknowledged on video that he / it's all because of "power of video". You're lucky that you have his attention but otherwise DeeEmm / Trob dealership and workshop sucks....

It's a personal choice but a hig feature car like XUV 700 are not for changing any electronic things like speaker or anything but i hope all works good

Bhai Morrel speakers use a much more older technology than these Sony speakers that's why they're heavier. Nothing wrong with wanting aftermarket speakers but faaltu mein Sony aur Mahindra ko badnaam mat karo, these very speakers work perfectly for most people.
