Dear Mr Ranjit, thanks. its a very good and educative video. Coming to the RO switch for your cousin's RO unit: RO Membrane is just a static equipment, which won't run on electricity. The pump inside the unit pressurizes and circulates the water in the system through all the filter including membrane. In this case you just need to remove the inlet & outlet tubing of membrane and join them together to bypass the membrane functionality.

We're using municipal water with TDS around 150... So after lot of search I got ao Smith water purifier with UV e boiling technology... And there is another technology called nano technology which is better than RO technology... Peore company is producing nano technology...

You're 100% right today many companies are creating a fear in us about water purity and then force us to buy any of thr products which is pathetic. No company is honest and really thinks about the needs of people well being. Suggest good UV+UF purifier for less than 500 tds. Brought Aquaguard recently, they informed uv+uf works only when it is less than 200 TDS

If you have TDs adjuster, there must be UV UF because the TDs controller bypass the RO. make sure you buy the one with TDs controller and having UF UV as last stages at the output of RO. also remember, bypassing the RO will not eliminate harmful chemicals from underground water. most places around urbanised areas, undergrond water is totally contaminated. you must use RO even when you get small amount of minerals. In such cases, drink more water to fulfil your body needs.

Good info. Our TDS > 500, so definitely need to go for RO. What is the best RO purifier which reduces TDS to 150 - 300 range? Now a days people are talking about Alkaline water and the purifier costs in lakhs. Can you do a video on alkaline water purifier. Thank you.
