Quick announcement, I've got some brutal fight ending moves that are pretty ugly but you're gonna want to know all of these. It's yours for free from the link in the description below. Okay, back to our video. First things first, do you carry a folder or do you carry a fixed blade? Well, 90% of the people including myself, you know, I carry a folder on me every day. Matter of fact, here's mine right here. It's a bench made. Pretty light weight. Blade's about three and a half inches long. Dale's got... There you go. I think that's a bench made too. Yeah. So we both carry bench made. That's good. We're not wrong on that one. So he's got a little bit bigger of a grip than mine, which I like. But anyway, so most people are going to be carrying folders. Chances are you're not going to be carrying a blade like this. This is a rubber training knife with a K-bar. However, one thing about a fixed blade knife, you don't have to deploy it and get that blade out, which saves time.
The video emphasizes the importance of learning brutal knife fighting techniques, prioritizing stabs over slashes, and being physically fit to protect oneself from predators and escape to safety.
🔪 Learn brutal knife fighting techniques for quick fight endings, prioritize stabs over slashes, and consider using a fixed blade knife for faster deployment.
For over 30 years Threat Response Solutions and Fightfast.com have been dedicated to teaching average people quick learn self defense techniques that actually work in a real life street fight. A lot of States have blade length laws for carry in public. In Virginia it’s 3 inches. And in every State unless it’s a bladed multi tool it’s a lethal weapon. Using a lethal weapon in a non lethal situation is aggravated assault. As a tactical weapon both parties get cut. Better options are hand to hand skills until you can deploy a weapon. Like a defensive pen such as the UZI pen with the DNA catcher removed or pepper spray for non lethal threats, or a pistol for a lethal threat.

If you own a Spyderco you can put a cable tie through the thumb hole on the blade and cinch it at tight as it can go and cut the excess cable tie off. When you pull it out of your pocket using the pocket clip your cable tie will be caught by your pocket pulling the blade open just like an Emerson wave. You can always take it off.

Folders are dangerous ,but the small and light.a lock blade is safer but heavier typically.a fixed blade with a sheath is good for battle or hunting and camping ,but the folder is easy to cut your fingers if it folds on you when cutting

  • @pizzadude6615

A fixed blade knife absolutely has to be deployed, my assist open comes off the pocket clip and opens in a single motion, just as fast as my fixed blade comes out of the sheath. The fixed blade has clear advantages but then again so does the assist open folder. Also I almost always carry more than one knife so yeah.

I believe he was speaking generally LOL. While there are a few folders that deploy right when you pull them out of your pocket...... I do not even need a pocket with a fixed blade. It is way quicker for me to pull fixed blade out of a sheath... Than it is for you to reach your fingers in your pocket let alone pull the knife out and deploy it. We all have our preferences... Some people prefer folding knives... Some people prefer fixed blades and that's great... To each his own... BUT... To act like sticking your fingers in your pocket removing a folding knife from your pocket and deploying the blade is quicker than me just pulling a blade out of a sheet is nonsense. I guarantee I can deploy my fixed-blade quicker than you can deploy ANY folding knife you own... 100% of the time. Oh and the only advantage that a folder has over a fixed blade is typically it's easier to conceal.

Glad to see others saw his “bench made” lol everyone wants the best, but you gotta pay. One of my custom made crooked rivers ran me $350 when I bought it. My custom fixed Adamas was $320. Best knives I ever bought. That adamas I used to baton a hard shell crab in half for bait. Still cuts. It’s a BEAST, but they are crazy expensive for knives.
