Really good confirmation to do these drills. A number of top players over the years advocate the Arban's intervals - Wynton Marsalis, Pops McClauchlin, Mike Vax, come to mind. Several pro players I know of make the first page of the Arban's intervals a key part of their daily practice and have worked up to daily playing the entire page, the intervals are that key.

Holy shit dude. Also, thanks. I'm getting back into playing my trumpet again and it's frustrating to me that I keep cracking my notes and my endurance and range sucks. I think this will help. Thanks for the tips 👍

hi Mr. O'Neill. I am having a lot of trouble splitting and cracking tones. I love what you've demonstrated here. I have acquired the Arban's. I must confess, I am new to reading music and theory. Would you tell what pages in Arban's I can find the interval exercises you've demonstrated in the KZread tutorial? thank you so much. ozier

Hi Ozier' Thanks for checking out my videos. I'm glad you are finding value in watching these. It depends on which edition of the Arban's you have, there are several different versions. In my copy (the edition with the red cover) the intervals start on page 131. Good luck and happy practising.

Thanks a lot. Nevertheless I would like you to help me out (Because I know you can) on how to increase my range on G. I've been playing the trumpet for not less than 6 years now but as I speak, I've not been able to play a third note on G in the upper register. Please help.

Yes, use any articulation or combination of articulation you can think of. It’s always good to change it up, this will only make you a better player overall.
