Ah, the Met Gala. Where fashion designers don't let the limitations of being worn on an actual live woman interfere with their vision. Several of the dresses could not be walked in. One required the wearer to be carried up the stairs, since she was unable to separate her knees and lift her feet enough to go up the stairs herself. Many of the dresses were so tight that the woman wearing them did not eat at the Gala: they couldn't. Well I do hope people had fun. It's not my my idea of a good time, but since I wasn't invited, that doesn't matter. 😊

Agree in general, but to be fair, in this case it could be intentional as the short story the theme was based on implies that the couple at the centre of the story is turned to stone at the end. So…immobile.
